We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
look, i know Koe Wetzel wasn't ever really country to begin with but Hell Paso is the buttiest he's ever butt rocked before. it's only a matter of time before he's on the Wimmer circuit.

I've listened to a lot of country music this year and since my last post in here and want to share some random thoughts to revive this thread
-Diamonds and Gasoline is easily one of the best country albums ever made. Every other Turnpike album is near perfect too (specially Long Way From Your Heart) and im very excited for the new one but D&G is like lightning in a bottle -some smaller artists I've found I really like- Kaitlin Butts, Tanner Usrey, Vincent Neil Emerson, Charles Wesley Godwin, Lance Roark, Adeem the Artist, Josh Meloy -some been around for a second medium sized artists that are rising pretty quickly that I love- Flatland Cavalary, Charley Crockett, Shane Smith and the Saints, Molly Tuttle, 49 Winchester, Paul Cauthen -Chris Stapleton might be the best of the mega popular radio country artists. he's really good. Steeldrivers with him were too. -A name I've heard and been recommended on this a lot on the outlaw music stuff is Cody Jinks, and I can't get into him at all. Songwriting is too on the nose and don't love the voice. idk. -been a fan for quite a while but the new Isbell album is pretty good and getting better the more I sit with it and the lyrics.
Its wild how many small country artists I keep finding that I really like. Going to catch one tonight, South Texas Tweak, that's playing for free up the road. Houston gets skipped all the time for indie concerts but we don't for this stuff and that's really nice
