I wanted to put Billie on mine cause I think she makes a lot of sense, but thought it felt too top heavy for how Roo seems to be booking now. I'd honestly be pretty excited for Billie headlining though. I went with SZA just as a guess for if she has a new album that blows up, sort of like Lizzo.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Quoting myself, but is Tyler the Creator considered a bigger get than A$AP Rocky? I was thinking he was, which is why I put an A$AP/Jack White (who is less popular now than 2014) dual headliner situation, but just based on Spotify numbers A$AP is much bigger than Tyler. So now I'm unsure.

Yeah I definitely was thinking Tyler is much bigger than A$AP Rocky now but the Spotify numbers tell a different story. He also has more monthly listeners than Lizzo? Obviously you can't base everything around Spotify. But it is surprising since his last album came out in 2018 and wasn't super well received while IGOR came out in 2019 was very well received. But again just going off Spotify numbers isn't really the best

That's definitely true. There's an artist on the bottom half of this year's lineup (Tate Mcrae) who has at least 7 million more monthly listeners than any headliner. The difference with A$AP though is he has several songs with 100+M listens, rather than just a couple big songs.
Also, unrelated, but Billie Eilish announced a new album out July 30th, Happier Than Ever. It's interesting that the title and cover are basically the exact opposite of her first album. Curious to see if the music matches that.
Tyler has more die-hards than A$AP. They're pretty comparable in popularity but I would say that Tyler is a "bigger" draw than A$AP in the people will be more engaged
Another random example like that is Paramore. They have 12M monthly listeners and 10 or more songs with 100+M listens, yet were booked 5th or 6th on their day in 2018 and played in the daylight (I still think they were criminally underbooked, but that's probably just me).
I would be happy with either or both Billie and Kendrick. I'm feeling even more strongly about Billie playing now. I don't think she'd be back to headline Coachella so soon, so if that's the case it just depends on if she's in America or Europe next summer.
Rage is almost certainly still playing Coachella next year, but Roo has shared a headliner with Coachella 3 of the last 4 years, so that shouldn't hurt our chances. Rage and The White Stripes are my top 2 bucket list bands I want to see live, and the latter probably won't ever happen.
