On Monday, Goldenvoice and Splash House announced the region's newest EDM festival, Desert Air, will take place Dec. 10-11 at Palm Springs Air Museum.
According to a press release from organizers, the goal of Desert Air is to offer a lineup full of "genre pushers" in a unique venue alongside industrial hangars and historic aircrafts — all in front of the majestic San Jacinto Mountains.
The lineup will include Peggy Gou, DJ Koze, Dixon, The Martinez Brothers, Moodymann, Channel Tres (live), Jayda G, TSHA, Mason Collective, Chris Stussy, Patrick Holland and Chloe Caillet.
The press release stated that GA passes for the two-day "dance music getaway" will go on sale Sept. 24 and start at $130 plus ticketing fees. VIP passes start at $230 plus ticket fees.
Hotel packages for two people start at $750, and at $1,050 for four people. Packages include passes to the festival and two nights of accommodations at either of the two partner hotels: The Saguaro and Renaissance.
Like Splash House and several other local events of recent, Desert Air will require proof of full vaccination to enter the venue. The press release noted plans could are subject to change along with mandates, so ticketholders are encouraged to continually check the FAQ page on the event's website, www.desertairfest.com.
I think some will still be on for Coachella, though all four headliners were on the 2020 lineup. I'm not sure we should expect all four of those to come back to the same area just a few months later. Plus it's still a GV event.

if we got Koze and Jayda G out of that group I'd be happy

Koze is the one I care about the most. I suppose it’s possible he’s doing a more normal DJ set here then saving whatever his stage set was going to be for Coachella, but I’m assuming he’s just out now
