Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Folks really need to at least consider the possibility that the #1 billed artist will get the #1 billed artist time slot (and that MMJ won’t be LN Which)

Speaking of poster placement etc, remember how weird it was that the leaked lineup had DaBaby and the official lineup swapped Lil Baby into the same spot. What was that about lol
probably the same thing as Garrix in 17. Every lineup DaBaby has been on, he’s been higher. 2nd on his day at ACL and above Meg at Rolling Loud.

yeah but they’ll probably just end up conflicting Tame w someone and have Lizzo unopposed.

I know it may be hard for people to believe since he used to play guitar, but Kevin is a huge diva
Is there evidence of this? I don't think I've ever heard anything that would indicate that.
One time Kevin Parker made a restaurant play only tame Impala songs the whole time he was there eating. Staff got pretty annoyed hearing 'Cause I'm a man' over and over. They were expecting him to take about two hours, but luckily he left after 75 minutes.
What would the zero mean then? It says "09042021-0-10". The bottle/video thing they did was about the tour announcement, not Bonnaroo specifically. Bonnaroo just happens to be the first date.
Edit: Now that I'm thinking about it, I don't think 10:00 would be a start time for either of them anyway. It'd be too late for whoever plays first and too early for whoever plays second. Unless maybe Roo pushes things up an hour earlier so there is more late night since the sun sets earlier. So Lizzo like 7:45-9:00, Tame 10:00-11:45 or something. Which would also make MMJ and Gizz both late night more feasible.
Rescheduling their entire tour by like 3 weeks and messing with all of your current ticket purchasers is pretty messed up. I know this year of all years things are moving around but seems like a dick move for people who have made plans/hotel reservations
I'm one of them for the Toronto show. No hate here. Most reservations have free cancellation. I must have cancelled 3-4 this year alone. Just how it goes.

I thought it was a diva move when all the Tame Impala promo images turned into just pictures of Kevin Parker instead of the full band during the Currents rollout

Haha I laughed at the pic, that really is similar to the one he used during Currents.
But that's also more true to what Tame Impala is. Especially since Currents, there's been zero involvement from other band members in the making of the music.

And he started throwing his face up on the screens at shows too.
I also personally think it's a diva move to write and record everything yourself in the first place

I promise I don't defend everything Tame does lol, but come on that's just a different creative process that works better for him. There's nothing wrong with preferring to work alone versus with a group of people. He collaborates with people on other things, but Tame is just a solo project. It would feel disingenuous imo to bring people in just for the sake of bringing people in.

Let's go all the way: Being a performing musician at all is a diva move.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

I didn't say there's anything wrong with it, just that it's a diva move in my book.

I'm not sure I'd agree...or, rather, I think that you could be right, but also that there are other reasons to do that. I started out singing/playing guitar in bands, but as time went on and I learned more instruments, I became really interested in exploring all the different things I could do on drums, bass, etc., and conceptualizing how they'd all work together. It's not like I'm opposed to working with other people; it's just a qualitatively different creative experience when you're working with the whole arrangement.

It seemed he was originally being called a diva in the negative sense of the word. When I think diva, I think someone who thinks very highly of themselves and demands a lot from others, not someone who's just doing their own thing without bothering anyone.
