Hmmmm. My first thought on that whack is it's pretty strait forward. Take out who they assume would be one of the hardest to get voted off. I'm leaving out Crool there because if he's innocent I assume they're interested in keeping him around hoping he'll make a newbie mistake(No offense to him, this is just how mafia tend to do things).
One thing I noticed is in Agarr last post he mentions thinking Jaz and Dan are maybe innocent. We know one of them is for sure. Either way, one or both, this could be another reason to get rid of him. Meaning mafia are looking to set both up for the win in 5. As both have gotten a fair amount of accusations and some of justified if we just look strictly at normal indicators.
Who knows? He didn't say a whole lot, although he was right on the money on a new player being mafia. Anyway, at this stage it can be tricky reading too much into intentions of these whacks.
I'm also paranoid mafia is going to try to rely on possible "why is SFA still alive" paranoia to get me voted off. But I think it's pretty clear I'm town this game. Although I thought that last time I made it this far and I got voted off anyway.
Two things I want to look at here. First is the final runoff of Day 1. Town is Blue, Mafia is Red.
Round Four Dan - 5 (Potent, Jortles, Carini, SFA, Crool) Jortles - 6 (Pablo, Dan, Agar, Jaz, Todd, Kanye)
Here we see that there is only one unknown on Jortles, and that's Dan (from my perspective at least since I know I'm town, I understand that this will be less informative for any of the rest of you). The last vote of this round was Kanye moving from Dan to Jortles. This looks pretty bad for Dan. We also have this post from Dan, where he plants the seed of a Mafia switching between two townies at the end of Day 1:
Was going to wait for the whack to say this, but fuck it, I could be the person who gets the whack at this point.
Looks like a lot of people are thinking Jaz for the last mafia member, I'm actually thinking Dan. He kept his vote with Agar until he basically had to switch it after the inspector revealed. That alone isn't too incriminating, but when you couple it with the fact that Kanye pretty inexplicably saved Dan at the end of round 1... that's pretty incriminating for both of them now that we know Kanye is almost certainly mafia.
I'm thinking kanye's switch was mainly to throw off the inspector. In a town vs town runoff (I am assuming kanye didn't switch to one of his own), there's really no downside. It's happened a couple times from my memory.
This could very well just be self-defense, but it's also a good strategy if he's Mafia.
Here is how the runoff was shaping up directly before Pablo's reveal:
Round Two Todd - 3 (Agar, Pablo, Jaz) Agar - 3 (Dan, SFA, Todd) Carini - 2 (Kanye, Crool) Dan - 1 (Carini)
Tbh I'm not sure exactly what to make of it, but felt like it was something worth highlighting with our known roles. With Todd set to go forward in the runoff, I don't know that Dan or SFA make great partners for him here, because they are in a position of relative weakness - they have nowhere to switch to. The only Mafia with any power out of that grouping is Kanye, though obv Pablo revealed before any other moves were made. So to me this slightly weakens the case for Dan being Mafia, but then again Potent, our first whack, did seem to be highlighting either Dan or Dan voters...which of the currently living are SFA, Crool, and Carini, which doesn't really bring us any closer to figuring things out.
It's hard to tell much from the remaining players. SFA seems pretty townie to me, and if Agar was indeed whacked because he was less likely to vote for townie-Dan or townie-Jaz, then we just have Carini and Crool left. Some of Crool's responses seem coached to me (like the one above), and although Carini has accused me, I don't really see much else incriminating him.
It's hard to tell much from the remaining players. SFA seems pretty townie to me, and if Agar was indeed whacked because he was less likely to vote for townie-Dan or townie-Jaz, then we just have Carini and Crool left. This reminds me of reading over it Sunday night when I was talking to Pablo. I wrote up a post but decided not to post it because it was just all over the place with wild theories. haha.
But I did notice something about the exchange about new players with Agarr and Kanye from round 1. It was actually about Kanye not wanting to vote for Crool. Todd was already in at the time. Could be nothing but maybe worth pointing out.
I'd said earlier in the game that I thought Carini was acting like his normal self. Then... not long after that he had that big exchange with Kanye after Pablo had already came forward. It kinda read as theater to me when I first read it. Like an attempt to drive home that he was against Kanye. It's probably nothing.
I feel like Dan has the most traditional mafia signifies but reading over the game it seems like a setup. Mostly because his negative exchanges with Kanye seem natural and he practically lead Todd into exposing himself as a fruad. So I'm really not sure that's the way to go.
You, Jaz, are kinda in the same boat as Dan. You made some vote switches that could be seen as shady but it could also be timing. After the Potent whack I was a little suspicious of you because the way you were reading the whack but I you brought up a very good point about all 3 of you voting the same by the end of round 1.

I had a feeling someone would think some of my last few posts sounded coached. I will say this... as a new player, I was not expecting the first round to be so boring. It was, so I wasn't really into the game at all. Now that the last couple rounds have been more fun, I have just gotten into the game a little more, which is why my last couple of posts are more introspective. This is exactly what I'd probably say as mafia, but it's my only defense, and I know I'm town so hopefully you believe me.
I have to think a little longer on who I'm going to vote for, but still leaning Dan.

Yeah, but was it really bragging? I was just double checked and you never actually said who you were suspicious of. That was kind of my point. It felt like you were trying a little hard but it doesn't matter. I wasn't trying to say it was hard evidence or anything. Just trying to list what I've noticed from everyone.... which admittedly isn't all that much.

I'm just going to go with my gut. It's been pointing this way for awhile. I keep spinning in circles thinking if we need to try and eliminate people with the more traditional signs pointing to them in the hopes that it at least makes round 5 easier for surviving town if we missed in round 4. Honestly can't decide and I feel there are things that negate both Dan and Jaz. Also, I feel like when I get obsessed about playing numbers games to eliminate people it typically doesn't end up being very helpful.

Just got around to a reread now. At this point I’m debating between either Jaz or Carini through process of elimination. I have a town read on both SFA and Crool right now. SFA being that I think he’s been one of the most helpful townies all game. Crool mainly because he doesn’t seem coached, and genuinely like he’s a newbie trying to figure things out. Leaving Jaz and Carini I’m voting Carini here still mainly out of the gut feeling I had with his vote for me in day 1. I am willing to discuss and extend the round if needed.
