It seems odd that EVERY person arrested was from out of state. But what is their goal/reason for lying?
Blaming everything on outside agitators serves many purposes:
Undermine the motivation for the protests Confuse people and keep them at home because they don't want to associate with antifa/white supremacists/etc Make the general public amenable to violent police crackdowns on the protests
They've been using this line literally since slavery

Thanks for clearing that up. To me, it seemed positive that there was evidence that the violent attacks and property damage were being linked to white supremacists so the blame doesn't fall on the people there to really protest and that it goes against what Trump and Barr are saying (blaming far left extremists) but I see how what you're saying makes sense on a more local level. Lies are everywhere, man. So tired of it.
Seeing reports of various peaceful protests from people who say everything was fine until police escalated things. I forget which one, maybe LA, where they said there was a random, old police car just left in the path of the protesters so people were saying it was planted there with the intention of destroying it to make the protesters look worse. It's fucked.
Unicorn riot was what I was watching the other night when it was so terrifying.
Terrifying for sure. And adrenalizing. And hopeful. But HONEST, number one.
Happy that, even at four in the morning, protestors were looking out for protestors, no matter what they looked like. 85% of the people showed respect to the reporters and were given ample respect, no matter their views.
Refreshing to know it can be this way. The movement is maturing. Agent provocateurs being called out and filmed. Young people calling out the bullshit. It's obviously going to have to go from the frying pan, to the fire, before things get better unfortunately. But it seems like i've been waiting for this my whole life. Hoping that this is what the roil looks like when the tide begins to turn...
Philly is getting wild. There's a 3-alarm fire on Walnut and a cop just got run at 7th and Chestnut. There were three cruisers torched by 4pm so I figured it was gonna be a wild night. This is something else.

Its pretty insane tonight. Tear gas deployed at Plaza. Reports of looting. Was peaceful when I went around 5pm. Non stop choppers over my house since 3pm. Cop SUV on fire just blocks from my house

One thing that I think a lot of people should keep in mind: This is not JUST because of this one incident with George Floyd. This is the culmination of many, many people who were killed by police unnecessarily. I see a bunch of people saying that it's ridiculous to see protests anywhere except where it happened but the point is that people (who care about other lives) are fed up and frustrated everywhere. There may be a protest in your neck of the woods that is stemmed from someone dying and not getting any notice/accountability.
This is a revolt against the system that allows this shit to happen.
Christ, finally got a chance to check what was going on elsewhere, and wow the scene in Columbia is tame compared to some of the stuff I’ve seen on social media tonight. Our police have handled themselves shockingly well compared to the above videos.

This nationwide attempted suppression of the press is absolutely frightening. On another note, here in North Florida yesterday had a peaceful march with ~3-5k people I'd say. Didn't hear of any violence breaking out.

I take it you weren't in Tallahassee. Someone from Georgia in a pickup truck started ramming protesters out there.
