Maybe it should cost him some votes though. Ida been pissed and taken it out on someone. ——— On another Biden front, Joe Rogan told me the other day he is simply full of shit. He says he’d vote Trump over Biden because you need a single communicator and it would otherwise be left up to the cabinet. Never mind that you can’t trust a word he says.
He claimed Bush and Obama got older looking soon after being elected. But Trump always looks the same. Yeah you fucking dolt because he gets daily spray tanned and wears fake hair. Mfer likely looks like an unmasked Darth Vader and undoubtedly older than all those previous presidents did except he is a phony who puts out an image. It’s not real.

I don’t necessarily agree with what Rogan concluded, but the conversation wasn’t wildly off base to me.
1. He said he’d rather vote for Trump than Biden. And it was like shocking to him that the Dems could find someone as bad as Trump. I still don’t believe he will endorse or vote for Trump. Could see him voting 3rd party or not voting.
2. He was talking about how old a president looks from the beginning of their term until the end. While Obama was younger looking overall, he is saying the progression of Obamas aging was more obvious. I personally feel like this is unfair from Rogan once you think about a couple different variables, but its not an out-of-bounds thought mid conversation on a comedian’s podcast.
I found it pretty stupid considering the facts, and it didn’t sound like he was making a comedic point at all. I don’t have a problem with the criticism of Biden’s inability to communicate and the incoherence. It scares the fuck out of me not because I think it’s going to cause any issues but more because it seems to point to a flaw that would take on a life of its own and become a downfall of the candidacy leading to possibly 4 more years of hell in America.

Yeah actually I just saw his follow up comments about it. Said he’d vote for anyone that isn’t experiencing significant cognitive decline over Biden.
The thing about Joe Rogan is that he's far from the only person who feels that way, but the Democrats have basically become the Republicans in that anyone who would even consider voting for Trump is evil and a lost cause, not worth courting, they way the Rs have demonized libruls my whole life. So, you know, it's Rogans fault for not liking their shitty candidate, he's a bad person, and he probably liked Bernie because he's a bad person.

I don't disagree with part of the premise, but I couldn't see any consideration for voting for him in 2016. The bullshit was always right there for anyone who gave a shit. The incompetence has cost over 10,000 US lives and who knows how many hundreds of thousands more? Shit's fucked up to a level we should never be at. Propaganda. Suspension of of critical thinking, boogiemen, never taking responsibility, every fucking day something new and more fucked up than the day before. I'd say pretty much anyone considering voting for that is a lost cause. I'm not going to judge them to be bad people, because that's not my job. But I'd be happy to tell them they suck. Maybe Biden does too. But it's not the same.
Honestly, him continuing his campaign was effectively a public health hazard. He couldn't continue in good conscience after seeing how Wisconsin and SCOTUS decided to put lives at risk

He's such a good guy. I'm going to vote for him in June regardless just to be able to put that down for my voting history and because he earned and deserved that vote. Hopefully Biden is listening to his African American supporters and will choose a black female running mate. This should buy him back some goodwill. He's going to have to find a way to stay as clear and concise as possible. His last 3-4 minutes last night with Chris Cuomo was about as clearheaded as I've seen him in a long time. I'm not planning on putting any Biden stickers on my truck, but I'll be damn sure showing up in November to vote against the current fucking monsters and racists.
It’s been such a rough year, and this news has absolutely broken me. I actually started crying when I saw the news.
Look man. We don't have the numbers, but the issues are percolating to the top. Someone is going to have to take over the progressive movement. AOC might be the one as she's pivoted a little in the last few months. When I was a young radical in college, one of my R.A.'s was an insider, political and connected guy who I think ended up student president or something. He always said that the world needed radical anarchists like me to push the envelope, but change also has to come within and be institutional. Bernie has galvanized about 35-38% of the country's center-left voters. That probably translates to about 20-25%or so and many, many younger voters. Keep pushing for change but you have to keep in perspective that change in America happens way more slowly than it should because of entrenched interests. Small victories are important, and keeping the USSC from swinging 7-2 might be the most important thing to fight for right now.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Well fuck. Oh well, I guess we're stuck with Trump for another 4 years.
I've probably said this 8 times on this sub and gotten attacked for it a few of those times. The hindsight reality is that Bernie probably never had a realistic chance of defeating Trump. I know some of the early polls showed him beating Trump head-to-head, but the idea that Biden was an automatic loss to Trump is a talking point that too many people believe. It was and is viral bullshit as the several texts I have gotten in the last 30 minutes would show anecdotally. Nobody knows at this point, and nobody has a crystal ball. Whether I like it or not, Biden probably gives the Democrats a much better chance of winning the electoral college (AT THIS POINT). Bernie played great on the coasts and among younger voters, but how was he going to get to 270? Biden likely flips Michigan and Pennsylvania. A poll released yesterday showed him up 46-41% over Trump in Florida which I don't expect to hold. But he plays to midwestern transplants. Will he fuck this up? Could be. But it's where we are.
We'll see what Bernie says in his conference. Hopefully he gets a major seat at the table and forces the Biden campaign to adopt some policies and maybe gets veto power over the VP nominee.
article from perry bacon jr at 538. good summary of the issues the left faced in the 2020 primary.
ends on a pragmatic hopeful note, similar in substance to what esteban notes above.
Still think what happened is Obama made some calls to Pete and Amy after Biden won SC and got them to drop out and endorse Biden. It was essentially over when those two dropped out pre-Super Tuesday.

my gut feeling is worth exactly zero, but of all the reasons laid out in the article my gut feeling is that biden won because of african american voters. we 100% need african american voters to put a D back in the white house.
I know we all hate Biden but please still vote in November. This country won't survive if Trump gets to install a 7-2 Supreme Court.
Yes. I'll stomach Biden if it means we can get our courts back on track. The Supreme Court's ruling on Wisconsin's primary is just a hint of things to come.
Edit: actually, I suppose voting for senators and legislators is arguably more important than voting for Biden in this case. But fuck.
