not mutually exclusive in any way. stop his policies, vote, protest, remove him from power. if he dies the uk won't suddenly be a better place, Raab isn't a saint, line of succession in the uk is unclear. Hospital staff gonna be working their butts off no matter how many people would like to see the people they're caring for die for political reasons. Respect to them for that
edit: look dude we prolly agree on policies in most ways and i assume you're actually active in trying to make the world a better place. if so i respect that, i'm just not cool with people wishing death on those they disagree with even in jest, i see policial systems to be much more entrenched than that and it does no good.

I understand where you're coming from, but these people are remorselessly causing mass deaths of the people they swore an oath to protect. Trump is actively trying to kill me and others like me. Sorry if I wish ill on him. I'm not Jesus Christ.

that's where im with you, we should adopt the practice of byzantine eye gouging.
Dick of the week, besides the endless parade of ones associated with the administration, has to be the Wisconsin GOP and the Wisconsin and US Supreme Courts. How much of an asshole and weak ass power-craving and power-needing motherfucker do you have to be to fight to not give people a week to submit absentee ballots in the middle of a lethal pandemic. Many Americans cherish and probably would die for our right to vote. But not when it's unnecessary. Fuck them. Absolutely terrible. www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/wisconsin-supreme-court-overrules-governor-says-election-should-proceed-tuesday-n1177961

This has been going on for years in Wisconsin. It's shameful. 180 polling places in Milwaukee normally, 5 tomorrow. State and local elections are so crucial to this stuff.
I know states aren't all set up for mail in votes, but don't most already have a system for absentee ballots? I've got friends living elsewhere voting in tx and I'm sure if you had a handicap there's a waiver, people serving misdemeanors in county, etc. What's stopping anyone from just doing an absentee and claiming they can't go to a polling station?

What happened in Wisconsin is that they've had so many requests for absentee ballots that they've been overwhelmed and many people haven't received theirs. They wanted to extend the time frame so that they could accommodate those people. The Supreme Court just said "tough shit, your ballot needs to be postmarked tomorrow or it won't count" so the only alternative if you didn't manage to get your ballot yet is voting in person during a viral outbreak.
yeah thats pretty garbage, but they are pretty awful with their record (us as well). but hopefully by the general it will be smoother in states that aren't run by mongrels. i do feel like the late march/april primary people never had a chance tbh.
So if the Republican wins the Supreme Court election in Wisconsin tonight can we safely say democracy is dead in that state? Because holy shit there's been some nightmarish stuff happening there for years and this is likely going to be the straw that break's the camel's back.
