I guess yall missed the part where some random guy arbitrarily decided the criterion for handling ties contrary to how it was done before and advanced us to the next round despite no one asking him to.
Also, Potent, you're voting a round ahead based on Dragon's votes, not the supposedly advancing songs.

Yeah I’m not counting any of the votes on the new ones. I’m gonna tag some people who didn’t vote in the last one and if they don’t vote after a day or two, I’ll make the higher seed ones.

Some people who voted in the last rounds but not in the past one (I think this is all): manoverboard mikey1313 deegleberry (might be more)
Your services are requested to break these ties. After a day or maybe two, we'll use the votes to break ties. If we're still tied on some, I'm open to ideas. We could only count the first one, three, five, etc who vote to ensure an odd number (best way imo) or we could just go highest seed, whatever everyone seems to like more. If no one votes by Sunday, we'll just do the highest seed. Would also help if my boys Silver Surfer and @radiatebased voted too. If you haven't voted in the past rounds, you're more than welcome to vote here too cause I don't know what the response to this will be.

Here are the ties we need broken.
Don't Let Me Down vs. Get Back
Help! vs. Michelle
Strawberry Fields Forever vs. Helter Skelter
In My Life vs. Dear Prudence
thx
Am I too late to vote for the whole round? I'd break the ties as:
Don't Let Me Down Help! Strawberry Fields Forever In My Life
I considered changing my vote to In My Life to break the tie, but I just think Dear Prudence is better. It has more of a build to it, more of a direction, imo. Not that In My Life is not a nice song, but its structure just feels a little basic to me. I'm a big White Album guy, though.

In My Life owns the feeling of nostalgia the way Here Comes the Sun owns waking up in the morning with a lil innocent smile. I can become equally happy, sad or romantic feeling when listening to it. Nostalgia is a hell of a thing.
Dear Prudence takes a little more focus and thinking to appreciate. Its not as instantly gripping every single time you hear it regardless of mood.
I mentioned earlier that Im biased. My moms dad died when she was in her early 20s. For xmas one year in the 90s, my dad found a bunch of old footage of her dad that her family hadnt seen in at least a decade or 2. He put together a montage with IML backing it and played it on xmas morning in front of her whole family. That day I witnessed my hardened Uncles crying for the first and last time along with the rest of her extended family. Pretty corny / cliche, but powerful for me nonetheless.
I managed to not hear the song again until I was in college when I had just left my family. So all of the stars alligned for that song.
Really, there are no wrong answers there though I think that In My Life is just one of the most beautiful songs of all time and it really should advance.

The Johnny Cash version is simply heartbreaking. I'd rate it ahead of his cover of Hurt. (Barely.)
Pft I posted that shit pages ago. But I also agree it's better than hurt.
Well done on you then.
My first time in the thread. Didn't post it at first because I thought someone might have been then decided it couldn't be posted too much and added it.
