Well, according to a leak, it seems to be that The Black Keys tour will be in the fall. We'll see how the routing goes, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them at one of these fall fests.
1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/4: knock2 3/7: Inhaler* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
Haha. I haven’t heard shit. Since AC took over booking, it’s hard to get much. I knew about Tipper last year and had heard the Manson rumors. Then we got the 6 acts they put out with the Zoltar machine at Dat Dog right before the lineup release though Jabco had already pointed out the A Perfect Circle schedule gap. They were one of the six. It would rule to bring Pearl Jam back too if possible. But I haven’t heard anything at all. Lineup has been coming out in early June. So that’s not too far away.
Also I wonder if Hulaween will be back or not which could affect attendance even though they dont ever sell out Voodoo or haven’t yet.
Also, for the past however many years lsu has been on bye during voodoo. This year they play Auburn at home. Halloween falls on a bit of a weird day if I recall correctly.
sure but they also self announced for Life is Beautiful
Yeah I’ve seen life is beautiful let a band announce they are headlining with their tour like Gorillaz did in 2017 but I’ve never seen voodoo let a band announce before them.

I have a friend who is close to that local guy who's the producer and he won't say shiz. I'd dig the Black Keys, tour date gap seems promising. Wonder re the hip hop act. Gambino back would be sweet but I'm not gonna bet money on that one. RHCP as the 3rd?

I am not sure who you are talking about but Sig is no longer working for Voodoo so I don't have any insider information anymore due to that. Who is this local guy? I thought last year we lost all the local producers.

Is Thursday a weird day? Can you power rank days of the week in terms of their "weirdness"??

Wednesdays are usually the worst day of the week, after Mondays. Thursdays are weird, but fun and Tuesdays are just the day after Monday.

I meant from a perspective of when to hold the festival - and the organizers obviously felt the same as they announced a date and then moved weekends entirely. If the 31st is a Thursday it's a bit odd to celebrate voodoo the weekend after halloween if the city is celebrating it the weekend before.
However, Tuesday is a very weird day. Really, what's the point - Monday is the dregs, Wednesday you just have to get over the hump, Thursday there is just one day to power through, no one works on Fridays and then it is the weekend. Tuesday, the weird day. I vote it to be removed.

Saw someone on the ACL board speculating on Lumineers for both ACL and Voodoo. Haven't seen them in a while, skipped that last show at the Lakefront arena. Hope they are either a No or only a lead-in act to the headliner.
