No. My daughter and I have been talking about it for a couple years. There are a couple older threads from the last couple years around on here. But I don’t think it’s just buy tickets and you get to go. I think I remember it being extremely limited - like maybe 1,500 or so. Unless they expanded or something, I think you have to submit an idea for the artistry you are brining there or something like that. Or you can buy VIP.
If you’ve never looked into it, they have some pretty cool past year official videos that show the make believe architectural world this is set in. I love Hundred Waters who I never get to see. So it’s always a want to go. But it’s far from here and a bit complicated.

Confirmed on their IG that their 2000 tickets are nearly sold out.
Seems like it’s been curated by Hundred Waters the last few years. I really liked last years lineup too. It just seems like a really cracked place to spend a weekend. I wish I wasn’t already committed to so much this year because I’d do this in a heartbeat. I think I’m going to commit to this for next year without a doubt. Make a week of it and visit some other spots in Arizona

I just made the biggest impulse buy of my life and got a ticket. I'm so fucking stoked for this. I've been looking for something to fill the void left by the death of DFN.

FORM is my favorite festival ever. Last year got an RV and it was perfect. Zero conflicts as the set times progress from stage to stage. It’s an incredibly peaceful and relaxing festival where most shows are viewed sitting down.
It’s only a 2,000 capacity so you end up meeting a lot of people and hanging out throughout the weekend. The artists usually stay the whole weekend and vibe in the crowd.
Dave Harrington’s Dream Machine last year was probably the best show I’ve ever seen to this date. Up there with Aphex apocalypse at DFN.
Arcosanti is only a couple hours away from Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, and the Arches. It’s worth making the trip and hitting some national parks afterwards.

It used to be this way, where you had to apply and they hand selected their crowd. It was pretty pretentious, like what you could bring to the artistic community, what you do for a living, what your creative goals are, etc. They've since changed it though and now you can just buy tickets.

That's awesome and good to know for the future. I'm not an artist but I appreciate creativity.
Postjack,
If you get time, here's some other shit that kind of shows what it is:

I've visited for fun, never gone to FORM though. I applied a few years ago when you had to have some sort of artistic contribution and I didn't get picked. this lineup is actually the least appealing to me of the past few they have put together, but there is stil some cool stuff on there.

I like the line-up but nothing is blowing me away right now. Florence is a score for a festival of this size and should be a quick sell out. Don't skip Miya Folick either. Really hoping she pops up on more posters this year.

Is anyone else heading out into the desert this week?
How was it? I saw they had some late replacements, but I'd have taken Robert Glasper regardless. Batry Powr? Anything particularly memorable?
It was incredible. It honestly will probably end up ruining other tests for me. Well worth the price. Florence + The Machine is my favorite band and being 5 feet from her (not an exaggeration) was something I'll never forget. Even with the power issues they were having everyone (both artists and attendees) are so excited to just be there that any issues were very easy to over look for me. For example Japanese Breakfast basically didn't play because the generators went out, but they did two songs camp fire style in the middle of the crowd and it was positively magical. The poets who performed pre headliners was dope as fuck, I wish more fests would do something like that to fill the time. My only complaint is that the there were too many people. The fest acknowledged that it was a growth year, but if you wanted to be able to see the headliners you had to get to the amp two or three sets prior, and I'm tall. But you can't beat the setting and the people who are there are there for art not to be seen or be an influencer.

Form is really my favorite festival in North America. The venue is absolutely incredible. We did the patron camping this year (last year we did RV) and it was outstanding. It includes brunch and dinner every day, free water/cold brew/cbd drinks all weekend. The tents are very comfortable. The crowd is respectful. There are no set time conflicts so you end up seeing the majority of the program. The most impressive part was the projection mapping on the canyon.

There were some cancellations like Mulatu Astake, Tirzah, and Jpegmafia which I was bummed about.
