The selection of Kids See Ghosts has been disputed on the basis of it not meeting the basic eligibility criteria of having previously played two shows. (They have played zero shows. They have one future show scheduled.)
I just think sticking to that rule makes you look silly.
I think picking and choosing which rules to follow makes you look like an ass and fucks everyone else over
The intent of the rule seems to be to stop people from creating acts out of thin air, to insure we don't veer into the "anything draft" type of territory. This pick doesn't seem to try to do that, its picking what we can all agree is a real act. Rules are not some divine edict from heaven that are absolute, they are only our attempt to create some fair standard. When they fail to do that I think we should be able to make a change. Booking KSG in 2018 is very reasonable, voting yes
Even if you negate the rules, it's not fair for an act this size to be available this far into the draft. KSG would go in the first 5 rounds.
why isn't it fair? it wasn't an act when the game started, but now it is and that falls within "Infinity". i dont think its manipulating the rules at all and it should totally be allowed.

yes it breaks the rules, but i think this is a rare instance where the rules deserve to be broken. i haven't voted in every single poll this game and can't say i've trended any one way on these issues, i just go with my gut on whether it should be allowed. This is an infinity draft, Kanye and Cudi just dropped an album together, and they're on a real poster together. I get why people are challenging it, but it feels silly not to let a real act not be allowed just because their impending tour hasn't started yet.

Look, Beyonce and Jay Z just dropped an album aswell within the same month and are touring behind it. It's a real act, if it's not as The Carters then as both their indivual names but they're currently and have been touring for a while together. Kanye & Cudi aren't. They've just been announced for Camp Flog, but other than that nothing.. Maybe that will come but in the past they haven't performed together as Kids See Ghosts. It hasn't happend yet. I don't know how that's so hard to understand tho.

I just don’t think how we can call this the infinity draft. And if they cancel or the show blows that’s the gamble I took.

I understand and respect those saying that some rules might need changing sometimes, even if I disagree that this is one of those times. My thing though is that this whole time we've all been drawing from the same pool of acts. Now in the eleventh hour some lucky duck gets a free dope headliner because they announced a single show? Nah. Even if they had announced a full tour I don't think that should be allowed. If anything I think we should propose a rule that in order to be eligible, the act needed to have been eligible at the start of the draft.

This is the most stupid argument I’ve been a part of. Basically what you are all saying is “it’s not fair.” Not that I’m cheating. Not that I’m trying to pull some bogus act combo out. This is the INFINITY draft. There are far more grounds to KSG being a real act than several of the combos out there. I honestly don’t give a fuck. I was just wanting to put that shit on my playlist when I edited it tomorrow (guess what? I still am.) like I said I have no real desire to win this or I def would have drafted my acts differently. It’s the reason I haven’t drafted garbage like Post, Future, and Migos
