On 3/19, undrafted free agents were due. On 3/19 Mazzy Star were announced as reuniting to play a music festival. If Mazzy Star was selected prior to the announcement, are they eligible?
When they were picked, they were ineligible. To me, this is very simple. Myself and others specifically did not draft Mazzy Star or put them in their FA's because of their ineligibility. This would be a clear violation of the rules and discriminatory against other players if allowed.
They were not playing a show when she picked them! How the hell is this even a question. I can't believe I'm this pissed off over a stupid draft, but when I followed the rules and didn't pick one of my favorite bands it makes me really angry when people throw away the rules and say fuck it who cares

If they were eligible as of 3/19 and 3/19 was when the UFDAs were due, you would have been able to wait and include them with your list or simply tell cdevaney to add them.

They announced their show after the deadline to have your lists in, something I actually specifically lamented in the draft
if the smiths announced a show on the 19th and people had turned theirs in on the 18th that would be pretty lame if the other 10 people got "lucky" because we extended things when people honestly should have been ready prior to that.

Yeah. If they didn't announce the show until after lists were due, I don't see how this is a yes.
If they’re ineligible when you submit your pick, they’re ineligible.
But if they were eligible during the period of the deadline extension, they could be eligibly added.
cdevaney's OP states they were selected before the show announcement. Regardless, that seems kind of garbage if others had already had their UDFAs locked in because they turned theirs in on time. I felt the extension of the deadline to Monday morning was just to help people who did not have access to their lists and not to give people more time to think on their lineups.

I actually turned mine in on time (March 18) and I thought that I had read that they were touring. I posted my finds in the actual thread not in here.
I found the article but it is older than I thought. I guess I didn't look at the date.
Hope Sandoval, meanwhile, is already looking beyond Seasons Of Your Day. “We’re planning to start touring around November in the US and we’ll come out to Europe and do a few shows,” she explains. “I’m excited about it. I’m looking forward to getting together with everybody and playing some of the old songs, and having dinner and wine, catching up with everybody.”
Also found a 2017 article that said that she was getting back in the studio with Mazzy Star but had no tour dates yet:
Sandoval says Mazzy Star “has nothing right now. We do plan on going into the studio, but we don’t have any dates. We’re focused on [this] tour. We’re just doing a very small benefit for Esperanza Spalding in San Francisco. I think we’ll be on stage 15 minutes.”
I really thought that first article was more recent. We will see what the polls says, I have a replacement in mind if needed.
Should I post this on the poll page as well? I never know what I am supposed to be doing.

In that case, I think it comes down to if those articles create sufficient evidence that future shows would have been likely/possible/etc. That's a little more grey to me than the other scenario.

They weren't, the deadline for lineups was noon, and the info for the show was released in the evening.
In that case, I will change my vote. I have done no research about this and do not know the band, so I have been very opinionated and vocal on the subject.
