Eddie played Bourbon and beyond and Pilgrimage solo last year and has to cost a lot less than a full band show. I think that could be an option seeing as he played some smaller fests last year.
That could def be an option too.
Also, other acts that this festival organizer has worked with on concert films: Leon Bridges, John Mayer, Foo Fighters, Chris Stapleton, Dispatch. All pretty active at the moment so just some thoughts. He also tagged Shaky Knees in the announcement which I think could bode well for the overall direction of this.
We don’t really know who is playing this, but anybody got any guesses or wishes?
I saw Moon Taxi in Asbury Park a couple year so ago and there was a really good showing. The venue was packed and there were a lot of people who knew the songs. They said they would come back to Jersey but never have. Maybe now they will???

Hoping this lineup ends up looking like a Skaky Knees/Sasquatch mash up. I don't know what Surf Culture does to a lineup but hopefully it just means adding a band like Slightly Stoopid and then focusing on just booking good rock acts.
If you're going to make a music festival and say it's reflective of surf culture you pretty much have to book Jack Johnson. Other surf related bands I can think of are Donovan Frankereiter, G Love, The Shins, Ben Harper, One or both of the Marley's, any white reggae band, Matt Costa. We could just be reading too much into the surf and ocean aspect and this will be more like Hangout in New Jersey.
