LOVE Florence. That being said if the other 2 headliners are Gambino and JT, I'd feel a little let down with her as the 3rd. Already seeing her in October on her tour as it is. I'm hoping that 3rd name is something bigger.

Agreed. That trio would be pretty underwhelming for Coachella’s standards.
I was looking at this JT setlist and was thinking "okay even with tons of Man of the Woods songs this isn't that bad" and then groaned audibly at that combination of covers.

If Florence doesn't headline and say it is someone like Metallica, what female subs could make up for the lack of diversity in the top lines?
edit: I know these formulas are never set in stone, but it would feel like a step back to not have any female representation after finally doing so two years in a row.

The Weeknd has had 10 top 40 songs in the past 3 years and Florence and the Machine had one top 40 song ten years ago. It's not even close.
Again, I said they are bland picks to headline. I said nothing about Flo being more popular or even on the same level as The Weeknd. I enjoy them both, but they’re easy grabs a.k.a. bland, boring, grey, not special, etc.

since Bonnaroo is clearly never going to book Dolly Parton at this time it's high time we redirected all our efforts to make it happen at Coachella instead. After all, she could headline Stagecoach, too!

Right, but it’s one thing to do a bland easy booking that will sell a lot of tickets (Weeknd, RHCP) and another if the artist would be a fairly soft booking for their billing.

Janelle Monae? She seems like a late Outdoor act but I would have said the same about HAIM or SZA.
If Timberlake and Gambino are two headliners, I think that all but wraps the idea of Florence or AM playing.
In 2018, the three Coachella headliners included Lolla's #1 (The Weeknd) and two acts bigger than Lolla's #1. This following two bonafide #1s were booked in 2017 (Bey and Radiohead) and two huge reunions in 2016. They're not going from that to booking ACL's #3, the rough equivalent of ACL's #4 (Florence = AM), and the rough equivalent of ACL's #2 (JT roughly being as big of a booking as Metallica, but not Macca) - and if they do, they're setting themselves up to have some big Weekend 2 problems and 2020 pre-sale problems.
If it's Timberlake and Gambino, I'd expect one of the big rock reunions hit (REM, Oasis, Smiths, dare I say the other), or a rock act the rough size of a Macca/Metallica/Pearl Jam/etc.

Who is the “dare I say the other” rock reunion?
Zeppelin. Getting some stronger than normal buzz around a reunion and who knows if there will ever be a Desert Trip 2.
The last few years have caused me to keep my expectations at a minimum. I don’t really expect a big rock reunion but I’d love to be proven wrong. Seems like Timberlake will be the #1 name in this scenario.

Ya Beyonce-Eminem-The Weeknd and Lady Gaga- Radiohead- Kendrick. Very weak headliners of course

None of these acts reunited and they aren't all that rare.
Radiohead routinely plays this festival and tours most US cities often. Gaga is whatever. Kendrick had just played Panorama and is all over. Beyonce is the biggest get out of those six names, but she also seems to tour a lot. Eminem and The Weeknd are just filler at this point.
I'm not saying I don't like these acts, but I'm looking for an AC/DC, GnR, Outkast, Stone Roses/Blur, Dre & Snoop, etc - something new/that isn't around much to get excited about.
