BTW, my points isn't that Sade doesn't draw, its that it would make no sense to book em as a headliner. Doesn't draw to the Coachella demographic whatsoever.

Sia grossed as much per show on her last tour as Sade. Adele grossed 4x as much on her last tour (comparing the 2011 tours heads up is dumb). Putting Sade second on her day wouldn’t be out of the question.

Why doesn't everyone have Chance The Rapper in their mocks? Hasn't played since 2014, has exploded since then, has headlined other GV festivals, perfect timing to roll out a new album and perform it there...

I don't think they'd book Sade. If they did I think it would be as a headliner.
Side note, anyone going solo or with a friend they don't mind sharing a bed with, I found a private casita near the Indian Wells Tennis Club for $510 total fri-mon for both weekends next year

Seems like she would’ve played this year if anything.
I'd say most likely subs are Alabama Shakes, The 1975, Vampire Weekend, Disclosure, or ASAP Rocky (unless there's some borderline level pop star I'm missing).
GV loves all 5 and they will probably all be active. Should be shooting fish in a barrel for them.
Random but fwiw, spoke with one of the GV festival architects @ the fest and he said they don't want to increase ticket price or capacity next year - biggest limitation right now is parking
