Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Murso74 we will have a lot more fun without all your negativity. Surrounded by true Roovians who call the farm home no matter what. Can not wait to be back with the family
Yup. Still bad
Yea... Don’t get your panties in a wad! ... I don’t care whether ANYONE agrees with me... in case you aren’t following the conversation, I’m going to have a ridiculously great time whether it is my ideal line-up or not... I feel quite sure that’s exactly opposite of having my panties in wad.
Is it wrong of me to hope that everyone that thinks the line-up “sucks”, which is a word that typically carries a very negative connotation, stays home? If so, guilty as charged! But its clear that you missed my point... Not only do I not care who agrees or disagrees with me, I also couldn’t give a rip who thinks the line-up sucks. I’ll be there from the time the grounds open on Thursday until they kick me out Monday morning until the festival or myself cease to exist because I choose to savor and enjoy every minute of the experience. Hope this somehow helps solve your “problem with today” ma’am! Have a good one!
I was gonna ask if there was any good hip hop/rap on the lineup, then I came across this guy:
And that's the worst thing I've ever heard.
This is essentially what these new rappers are about. The melody and sonics are more important than what he's actually saying. Not my cup of tea but it is what it is.
I grew to appreciate that last video because of what r posted but your explanation really resonated with me. As someone who got into rap because of the lyrics over great beats (and not just flow over great beats) I was having trouble putting to words why I couldn't get into a lot of newer rap stuff. Besides the fact that I'm not in the demographic I think this highlights one of the aspects that I'm missing. It sounds great and all those other top names think it's good shit (I especially like Ghostface pointing out "it's different. he's being himself" but overall what hooked me was guys like Jay Z, Big L, Notorious BIG, Eminem, Wu-Tang and others rapping but also telling stories/having depth behind the rhymes.
Either way, I've been exposed to a new talent and I hope he continues doing what he's doing and makes a name for himself. He's got that same kind of thing that Tyler. The Creator had where his voice sounds way more older/mature than his actual age.
Anyone who thinks Paramore, Bassnectar, Future, Khalid, T-pain, Kaskade, Muse, etc are good bands who belong at Bonnaroo are just nasty people! Why perpetuate this SHIT!! Music is not a single dude with a backing track jumping up and down pressing buttons... Who could support this garbage?! Indie kids? Trust fund kids? You should be ashamed to support this garbage! Anyone who thinks those bands I listed are good are contributing to the downfall of society!!!
What's funny is people like that will think shit like this is real music
Spafford and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will be worth the price of my ticket admission and I'll make sure of that! As with any experience in life, it is what you make of it. I learn something every year and will make this year my best Bonnaroo experience yet because last year I was introduced to tangerines and those things are the bomb!
maybe the 'older, heady crowd' could just listen to some NEW MUSIC for once instead of whining and crying that bonnaroo hasn't simply used the same lineup on repeat since 2002.
If you love panic, why can't you love kendrick or pusha t? if you love them, why can't you love space jesus? If you love him, why can't you love Sylvan esso? Do you even know who the fuck Durand Jones & The Indications are? NO. You don't. If people would just actually be fans of MUSIC and good experiences rather than seeking to performatively flaunt their self-appointedly superior taste in music everywhere, there wouldn't be all this lineup whining every year.
The hallmark of a good fest isn't the same lineup every year. It's change, it's risks, it's new acts. Every year I go to bonnaroo thinking I know what acts I like and which I don't and every year I come away with some new favorites. Open your freaking minds a little people, it's BONNAROO

I think the lineup is great and like it more the longer I sit with it. I just wish they had booked even one headliner I cared about. Seeing headliners from the what stage pit is such a big part of the experience for me. If I cared about just one, Id be all in.
May still attend, but gonna see how a few more lineups shakeout and what my friends want to do before deciding.
Just discovered that Kali Uchis is on the lineup, that's pretty dope. She's featured on Tyler the Creator's new album and has a new single coming out with him and Bootsy Collins. I've just started listening to her music and it's pretty awesome.

I just realized 2/3 of that song will be at roo. Reddit will definitely get their hopes up with that collab happening.
As long as B.o.B. gets time to talk about Flat Earth and how slavery never happened
Sounds like a great Planet Roo lecture. Speaking of which, I wonder how long until that place is axed by LN. Can't have any indoctrination against our glorious entertainment corporation.
I like future, Anderson paak. , brockhampton and Denzel Curry is solid. But honestly the rap lineup for me leaves a lot to be desired. Hoping they add one to two decent rap names.

If you haven't listened to Westside Gunn + Conway, now is the time to do that.
