Iirc Drake I thought Drake had some kind of contract with maybe Apple (?) that he couldn't be streamed on other platforms. I can't remember if his Coachella was but there was a Lil Weezyana fest he was at that they had him scheduled to stream and it dropped out with the apple (or whoever) clause being the reason.
FWIW the Coachella livestream (with the famed Madonna kiss!) was live streamed.
Hearing so many conflicting reports but I really think Tyler started the drake rumor to keep frank hush
Is it true that the "???" set won't be live streamed? I feel like if it were Drake, there would be no reason to not live stream it, there's no need for mystery. Frank on the other hand..
It was never on the schedule to begin with.
I mean, it could still be Kanye. He showed up at Astroworld last night for 2 songs. So he might be ok with not having the choir.
I feel bad for Tyler. I honestly think the crowd would have been way more receptive had they not had an actual reason to think it was Frank. It was awful timing for Frank to be active.

I maybe feel a little bad for Tyler, but at the same time how do you not see this coming a mile away. Obviously people are mad: I'm a little salty and all I did was stay up late
what a mess... why didn’t Tyler just say it’s “Tyler & Friends” or something
Cause they still wouldve expected Frank. He used to do that for his set during the first few carnivals. I mean in 2013, when frank played last, he came out during Tylers set to do “she”. And everyone lost their mind when Kanye showed up. And then Frank was still going to perform after that.
Everything about that was set up for disaster. At first A$AP Rocky and Lil Uzi come out and you're thinking "okay so Tyler is just going to bring his rap friends out and maybe we'll get Frank at the end". Then the beat for "Started From the Bottom" starts playing and your heart drops. No fucking way. But okay Drake is going on a little long, but maybe we'll get Frank after this? Wrong. He's still going. Then after like 15 minutes you realize he's the secret headliner. It might have even been better if Drake just started the show without A$AP and Uzi coming out. At least then your hopes for Frank Ocean are destroyed right away, instead of being teased thinking that a lot of artists are supposed to be coming out.
They should've either never had the ??? and just had Drake & Friends outright from the jump, or the organizers should've months ago told everyone on social media that it just wasn't Frank. It's rude people booed (punk rock as fuck imo) but also it's also bad on the festival for building hype for something most of Tyler's audience doesn't fuck with.
Drake didn't have to stop, if he really gave a shit he could've called out the boo's and said something badass, but instead he dipped and made everyone look bad on all sides of the story.
The fact people want explanations or shoulda, coulda, woulda's for something which was never promised, especially in regards to an artist who does what he wants when he wants, is the actual joke here
Drake evidently just isn't the type to call out haters in the moment in public. Big missed opportunity. Next he's going to have J. Prince tell everyone he has a diss track that'll ruin the hater's lives but will still never let it see the light of day.
