this seems realistic and i would take it in a second
lmao. pass that shit bro!
Kendrick, QOTSA, and Arcade Fire? That is plenty enough for me to go. I like this fest a lot as it was my first one but i'll ditch if it's as bad as last year.
I want this fest to do well but i am in no way a blind supporter who tries to justify it's shittziness cause of a cool venue : )

Genuine question, Artic Monkeys were on the 3rd line (#8 on the lineup) last time they were at Firefly. I like Artic Monkeys so it would be fine with me considering a lot of the options but what has propelled them to headliner status when they haven't released anything since?
I'll be honest I was not impressed with their set in 2014. I'd give them another chance, but given they'd be a headliner I'd prefer other options.
really? i loved that set, thought they killed it and iwas dead sober too

They headline everywhere else in the world, and given the dearth of headliners across the world now, it makes sense for them to be pushed/promoted to the tops slots in USA.

This. I've been saying it about a lot of early-2000s bands and why they've been pushed to headliner. Like I love Phoenix and there last album was very good but they shouldn't headline a major US fest in 2017.
The answer is that no rock bands from the 2010's have been able to make the leap. Only ones are either crap (Imagine Dragons, TOP) or stopped touring just as they reached that level (Tame Impala).

Yea I mean part of the issue was really my own problem. Being that the sun was right in my fucking eyes and I was dead sober too. I was way up front to get a good spot for Foo Fighters, so no way to get more beer. I didn't have anything else on me either.
Jimmy Eat World doing a Boston show on 6/11 and Brooklyn 6/14 would lead me to believe they're definitely on the lineup.
Good booking for Firefly. Carry a lot of nostalgia but very respectable still.
As someone on here mentioned last week, Royal Blood is also basically confirmed with a no Philly date on their June mini tour they announced today.
Long way to go but good start for this.
TBH Jimmy Eat World wasn't all that great when I saw them open for Incubus in the summer. But it's cool still. However, I desperately need Royal Blood at Firefly.
Odesza just announced a tour w no NY, Philly, Baltimore, or DC dates... they gotta be playing this.
Pretty good choice to fill the Flume/Disclosure spot of the past 2 years. If there are more than 3 headliners this year, I'd say it's almost guaranteed that in the 4-5 spot will be The Chainsmokers.
remember how terribly they sold last year? we can't rule out them resorting to Nectar
I could be wrong but I think Nectar had issues with Firefly in some fashion the first time he came. Doesn't mean he wouldn't come back, but could be a factor.

i mean yeah that was firefly's inaugural year, this fest has gone through a million and one changes since then.
They just did two nights in DC, three nights in Philly, and play Barclays Center in two weeks
its a giant spring/summer tour, they wouldn't just ignore this area.
They are literally skipping every market where they just toured, except for Seattle where they are playing a Holiday Show tomorrow, and they are one of 8 performers
If Brian Fallon wasn't playing Union Transfer in April, he'd probably be playing this I feel.
He's also playing Brooklyn in May and was just outed in a clue for Gov Ball, which leads me to believe that it will be Gaslight Anthem again in the summer.
