I’m biased because I really hate DCFC/Postal Service, but was that really the best choice for this? Seems a far stretch to attract the crowd they’d supposedly be targeting here.
The Killers seems like a much more natural choice than DCFC/Postal Service, but between them playing Merriweather and Oceans Calling, I guess that wasn't a real option.
Well, they did surprise everyone by not having the Foos headline, but it isn't necessarily a good surprise.

There seems to be a good deal of nostalgia from 40 somethings for the fest because of memories from their youth. Even if there are no unique acts on here, it scratches the itch for a lot of people who went to high school in the 90s from the DMV.
I'm hoping my normie festival friend will be cool with seeing Magdalena Bay that evening versus spending the money and the time to do HFStival
New festival alert! Pusha T & RnB Block Party teaming up to launch the Cousinz Festival in Norfolk, VA. Lineup drops Friday. I'm hoping for a Clipse set
There you go getting my hopes up.
Anything is possible with a hometown show. They were surprise guests at the Keyshia Cole/Trey Songz show at Hampton Coliseum earlier this year.

FWIW all my normie DC local friends are falling over themselves to get tickets.
I was talking to another guy who told me he was going to a concert at Nats Park in September and rattled off 5 bands only one of which was actually playing HFStival (Lit). Sounds like this is gonna sell out

Yeah the problem with this lineup is back in 94 or whatever when they all played originally, we all knew all the songs. Now people will be going out of nostalgia for all these mediocre bands (with a couple exceptions) with mostly one word names (guess Sponge, Cracker, Lush, Everclear, Staind, Buckcherry, and Fuel were all busy) and realize they only really remember that one hit they had. That will make for a very long day.

My last story about this is I know three different people who bought tickets for this because they were excited for Death Cab and Postal Service and found out after buying that Ben Gibbard fronts both.

I don't understand how someone could like both DCFC and PS but not know Gibbard fronts both lol. Seems like you would either know that and love them, know that and hate them, or not know and have no opinion.

Despite some hotel WiFi issues, Sabrina Carpenter Baltimore presale went well. Decent number of lower bowl tix under $150 including fees. Not sure what the Spotify pit tickets will cost tomorrow

I’m gonna guess that this will either be the weekend before or after World Pride fest. After experiencing this recent heat wave, moving this to the summer would seem like a mistake
