Pavement should add a Richmond show at Browns Island after Hopscotch 👀
Malkmus went to UVA and hasn’t had a Virginia show since the reunion. Lucy Dacus is from RVA but we didn’t get a Boygenius show. Artists with ties to the area are letting us down

It was really odd to see that Boygenius wasn’t coming to town. I wonder if their production is too big for Browns Island. They would’ve been an excellent headliner for Iron Blossom.
That proposed amphitheater on Tredegar Hill is gonna be awesome. Hopefully both groups will still be around then for them to play there.

I think their production is probably too big for Brown's Island, especially with it just being a standard rental stage. Lucy did headline Brown's Island last year though!

definitely feeling like a dummy for jumping on presale and paying full price, but they're one of my husband's favorite bands and we've never seen them so whatever. still excited for the show!

It might have been tailored to the festival, but Boygenius' stage setup was pretty huge on the Outdoor Stage at Coachella. I thought the picture book thing from Phoebe's tour last year was awesome but the production at the Boygenius show made you think, "whoa, this kicks ass!" from the first song.
what sort of fan accident would cause a whole show to be postponed. I’ve seen plenty of shoes paused for med evacs, but never an outright cancellation
I had a couple friends there and they saw it all happen. During the opener a person just collapsed and hit the floor. Cpr was done and all that. Nobody saw them get up or wake up. They cleared the venue and cancelled the show. I havent seen any other reports on the status of the person who it happened to. So if the possibility of somebody literally dying at your feet isnt enough reason to cancel a show then I dont know what to tell you.

seems reasonable to cancel in that case, was just curious, hadn't ever heard of a show getting cancelled for a fan's medical issues.
