They did a few nights at Moody Theater which is 2700 cap. Don’t think either night sold out. That was a few years ago. Then they did another date in San Antonio last year with a cap of 3500. It’s good for people going but this doesn’t really push any additional tickets.

nothing can replace ozzy but priest is gonna kick ass. if only priest and maiden were on the same day like that rumored tour that was supposed to happen in the US some years ago

I am of course familiar w AC/DC and Angus but there have been some egregious reunions that exclude key members.

Definitely looking weaker and weaker .... single day tickets will help a bit, guess there will be a few interested in Tool / Metallica day, but overall GV will take a massive L with this. Such a shame, nice idea, great location, but guess its not the right time and 600 bucks to stand somewhere far behind and stare at video walls....

600 dollars to stare at TOOLS screensavers. Id love to be wrong, but Tool have NEVER allowed sidestage real time video. An unreleased Lateralus concert DVD from 2002-ish might be the only pro-shot footage of them after Justin joined.

79 days out and its still radio silence from 80% of the ACDC lineup. Not even indication they keep in contact with one another, are getting in shape or have rehearsed in the past 4 years. Cliff & Brian did live close to one another in Florida.
Its also weird that Angus has been MIA from the 2021-2023 GNR tours. Both camps crossed paths about 6 times 2016-2019.

78 days now! they're basically never vocal between tours/cycles, the machine is either going or it isn't. we think GV is shelling out for AC/DC without the one person still alive who makes it them?
AC-DC did 2 social media posts for the festivals and Brian did a podcast or two. That's all they do for a $7+ Mil gig with fans travelling worldwide for the first gig with Brain and Phil in 14 years? Brian will be 76 at the show and hasn't done a concert in nearly 8 years.
My pet theory is they get swapped for Aerosmith and THEN Goldenvoice finally does single-day Power Trip tickets.
Single-day tickets were $225 for cheapies in 2016 - maybe Power Trip 3-day resale gets lower than single days prices.

Hm, IF AC/DC are not there theres gonna be some rioting on socials if they dont offer refunds. I mean you maybe bought a ticket just because of AC/DC and Ozzy, and both are not there. Its not like a headline drops out of the 100+ bands festival this is one third of the whole festival.

Probably a third of RIOT Fest changed in 2021? Though attendees were told in advance that everything was very fluid with visas, borders, nose tests and c19 Paranoia.
One way to look at it GV have already had 4 headliners not play as scheduled in 2023, why not make it 5? Ozzy, Sioux, Iggy and Frank W2.
Soft expectations were one thing for Ozzys unique case before he dropped, but how many here actually have high expectations for ACDC? I just noticed Brian did 2 songs with Sam Fender June 2023 and his stamina sounds much better than the Taylor Hawkins tribute Sept 2022 and that Vaxx live thing he did with foos May 2021.
Brians quotes about being in early tour pre-productions in early 2020 cut off by Covid, but before the tour got announced. That prep time would be longer than the 78 days left before Power Trip now.
This April 2021 video interview is the most recent time visual appearance I can find of Angus. Might be 1-2 other short audio only podcast a bit later. Promoting later singles from PWR UP album.

Yeah, its weird. Shouldve gone on sale already. Maybe sales are good enough to justify not doing it. But Desert Trip had singles so theres precedent

GA selling for $400 currently, which means seller is probably pocketing $340 or so.
