Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
While I don't post frequently on Inforoo anymore, I still check it every day to see the warmth and good vibez that ruminate throughout these hallowed halls. Or, to see some new poster get verbally eviscerated for suggesting that Daft Punk will play Coachella this year. Either way, I know the Inforoo community has a collective heart of gold.
That's why I'm reaching out for your help.
Next year, I will be running in the Chicago Marathon. While I am currently out of shape, and have a somewhat difficult time running more than one mile, I will somehow dig down in my gut to pull out 26.2.
Rather than just running for the hell of it, I have decided to run as a charity sponsor for St. Jude Children's Hospital. If you are not aware of the awesome work that St. Jude's performs, please visit their website because it is top-notch healthcare for children and families.
I need to fund-raise $1,200 in order to run for St. Jude, and I am asking for Inforoo's help in making that possible. All donations can be placed on my page in the link below, and all donations go straight to St. Jude (you don't have to worry about giving any money to my filthy hands). I believe that the page accepts donations of all different quantities from both credit cards and PayPal. Anything, and everything helps me work towards my goal.
If you feel that there should also be some sort of trade off for your donation, you can PM me with a reasonable request. I will do any one of the following: like your art on instagram, listen to your new beat you produced on soundcloud (maybe even give it a thumbs up), chauffeur you to your next concert in the Chicagoland area (I have a Chevy Cruze, it's pretty nice), send you random cards that I wrote myself (great for the Holidays). I will not perform sexual favors, even though it is for the kids.
When you reach my page you'll probably notice that my name is Ryan, and that I have very few donations. Don't let that deter you!
I'll also probably start blogging and update of my progress so you can follow me on this ridiculously weird ride, and I'll post updates and thank yous in here for all that donate.
So, I know that everyone is a little distraught after our beloved Bonnaroo has been seemingly swallowed whole by our lovely friends at LN. I assume this means that many of us will not make it back to the farm, and that means one thing.
MORE OPPORTUNITY TO DONATE TO ST. JUDE!!!
Just kidding, but kind of not.
In all seriousness, thank you to those that have donated so far. You all got the ball rolling with your donations, and I'm almost at the $200 mark just a little over a week into raising money. Kudos to you all.
The reason for this particular post is two fold:
1.) If you haven't yet seen what I'm doing, please refer to the post above and donate if you can. I truly appreciate every cent that I raise for this hospital 2.) To share a new little blog I put together so you can track my progress on this journey, and see where all of your hard earned money is going! I also understand the risk in that when you realize you hate my personality, rhetoric, and sloppy website production, but let's just ignore that for now. You can find the link below, and I thank everyone for following along on this wild and lengthy voyage.
I have a new blog post for this marathon up. You can find it here.
Thanks for everyone's support up to this point. I truly appreciate everything, and I've already made a substantial dent in to my fundraising thanks to you all. Please keep supporting, and I'll keep working.
As someone who has both run marathons for charity and recently run Chicago, I have a deep appreciation for what you're undertaking.
I'll do my best to make a donation when my finances loosen up a bit.
I appreciate it. Also, if you have any training tips, or anything specific to know about running Chicago, please feel free to let me know. I'm just a bud of a flower trying to bloom, and I'll soak up as much information as possible.
Threw a little bit your way. I'm also training for a marathon so some of your blog posts resonate with me. Are you following any particular plan, or just kind of making it up as you go?

Thanks man, I appreciate it!
I have a buddy that coaches distance, so he's been giving me a weekly routine. Once we get a little closer to the actual marathon, I'm sure we'll switch it up and get more precise.
Also, for those of you that are interested, I updated the blog for the past week. Please feel free to donate by following the links on the website, and at the bottom of the blog post.
