We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
This really won’t affect many people on this board but maaaan, I’m sad. Editions Mego is an absolute staple of my life these days. RIP, Pita. You will be missed. You will be remembered. You will always be loved.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
My brother was huge into Slipknot and Murderdolls when we were teens. I was never into it as hard as he was, but i definitely went through my George Romero phase in high-school and appreciated all of the horror film and zombie themed stuff Joey and Wednesday 13 made on their goofy-ass albums at the time. And yeah Joey was a sick drummer. I'm gonna text my brother now.
I just told someone that I am glad that I was able to see them (multiple times).
We only got to see part of their set at Bonnaroo.
I have never seen them at a festival. I have seen them at least once a decade since the 90s though. I guess the 20s will be my first ZZ Top-less concert decade.
They used to start their tour at Hirsch coliseum in Shreveport, because they said if they could sound good in that shit hole, they could sound good anywhere.
Incredible producer and DJ. Had never heard of her until I saw her at a Trip—Nina Kraviz's label—after party after Movement several years ago. She stole the goddamn show. Rest in peace <3
