Halfway through the album, late night Mac Miller 2017.
Never seen him perform before so I'm not sure how great his shows are but this album is pretty damn good and I think it will bring a whole new vibe to his shows.

He's pulled out of 2 different shows here in Ohio within the past few months. I dont know what's going on with that dude but I feel like he might be kind of unreliable.
Colbert should come film an episode of the Late Show at Roo. Jon Batiste and Stay Human can do a late night set and bring out a shit ton of guests. Makes sense to me.

Unfortunately 'Roo would fuck that bookin' all to hell just like the Conan Debacle of 2010. A wildly popular comedic act that was relagated to the Comedy Theatre that was woefully under prepared fer the massive audience that wanted to see the show.
Unless they get their heads outta their asses and realize bookin' someone who sells out theatres and auditoriums should be a main stage (ala Chris Rock in 2008) or at least on the Which.

I'd settle for just the Stay Human late night set. but the fact that Colbert has never done anything at Roo seems wrong. Along with Conan and Letterman, he's always struck me as one of the late night people who cares the most about music. Fallon does but in a different, much lamer way.

I'd be extremely disappointed if MGMT make the top ten of next year's lineup.
Not the greatest live act.
I feel like they're attitude has changed. They know they can't suck live in the US now. I've seen videos of them performing outside US and being great, but aside from their recent Coachella appearance....it hasn't been that great lol.

You will see the youngest demographic for undercard in Roo's history. Lana, Chance, Bastille, Young the Giant, Flume, Pretty Lights, The 1975, Grouplove, Foals, Glass Animals, Alessia Cara, Future. The first 4-5 lines are going to be super young, with maybe 2-3 old school acts in the mix. Just my prediction.
I just thought of something as I was listening to a top 40 radio station today. What are the chances they book Tove Lo again and how high of a jump would she make?

Depending on the initial response to her new album, she could easily be in the top 12. Her debut album has been certified Platinum, and two singles from that album have gone multi-Platinum.
New Dirty Projectors happening. So pretty much all of the good indie artists from the 2013 lineup other than Tame Impala are in play for next year.
Not to mention acts like The Shins (last played in 2012) and Fleet Foxes (have never played). Not sure how others feel about Franz Ferdinand (their last two albums were kind of mediocre), but I wouldn't be surprised if they're back on the road by next summer.

Franz Ferdinand in 2007 was a great time so I would be happy with that!

Yeah, I'd be perfectly happy with Franz Ferdinand on the undercard. They could do much worse for 2000s-era indie rock bands past their prime. And they wouldn't be billed especially high.

Sounds like Fleet Foxes and Franz Ferdinand are both making good progress on their upcoming albums:
Given the quality of music that's been released this year, and how many quality acts they missed this year, Roo should have the opportunity to knock it out of the park next year.
Also, my vote's for Touche Amore as the random heavier act that gets thrown in somewhere near the bottom of the lineup.

That seems to be the general consensus. I have a feeling 2017 should be a good year for lineups all around. Big festivals could miss out on a third of the great artists that should be touring and still have outstanding lineups.

This is probably my most anticipated album in a long time. It will be the one that even if its bad (which I really can't see happening) I'll delude myself into loving.

I know that Robin said the new Fleet Foxes album will differ somewhat from their previous work, but I'm not too worried. Robin's a perfectionist, and he's been 3/3 so far (if you include the Sun Giant EP).
