Even tho I only went on Friday, overall this was an amazing festival. The art was top notch, the stages were set up very well and were close enough to get from each pretty quickly without any bad sound bleed. But what others have been saying, spending 5$ for a water is bullshit. One girl passed out next to me and the medics had to be called. I'm guessing she was dehydrated because she didn't want to spend the money on water. That's gross misconduct from the festival. Other than that tho, the festival was great. And I LOVED that Gorillaz set. I'm sure if I saw them in Atlanta it would have been better, but at least I got to see them. It was everything I wanted and more. I've been listening to them for 15 years and to be able to see a band that meant so much to me since middle school is life changing. So happy I got to experience them. Anyways, great weekend and I look forward to next year!
I'm seeing nicolas jaar 3 times this week. because fuck it. and because his panorama sets was one of the best things I've seen in a long time. these comments about his set this weekend is making me sooooo excitedddddd
Jaar and the Jamie/Daz/Talabot b2b show at space were both amazing. I thought the Gorillaz show was phenomenal. Of course there are going to be a bunch of older songs that people wanted, but they've too big of a catalog to fit everything into 1.5 hours. We got one rare song and, while it wasn't my favorite, it was great. I'm just saying, while it wasn't the best setlist ever, it was definitely a good.
1. Gorillaz 2. Nicolas Jaar (DJ Set) 3. Skepta 4. Jamie/Talabot/Daze b2b @ Space ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 5. Black Madonna 6. Arca/Jesse Kanda 7. Richie Hawtin 8. Jaques Greene 9. Daniel Avery 10. The XX
Please tell me someone else saw Yves Tumor other than me and Julie ? That shit was incredible.
caught the last ten minutes. My friend that I drug away from our other friends for it thanked me repeatedly for doing so. It was crazy. my friend described it as "industrial ambient" and that felt appropriate

damn you missed the best parts then when he started the show chained to the stage by his "master" and broke free. you only probably caught him bitching about his sound lol.

Damn, I'm pissed because talked like 6 of my friend into going outside for that show, but it was when they delayed the stage because of the rain/bbng going ten minutes over and then we finally went in to see Willow smith perform her awful attempt at putting the crowd to sleep. This is possibly my largest regret of the whole festival because of the awful wannabe-early-2000's emo rendition she did of "whip your hair back and forth"

This was a weird festival for me for personal reasons. My mood was messed up on Friday night, and my Saturday night was shorter on both ends than I expected it to be. Sunday was surprisingly great though. I went in with it being my least anticipated day and it ended up being my favorite.
Favorite sets in no particular order: Gorillaz Danny Brown Willow Smith Perfume Genius Bonobo The XX
I really hated the emphasis on Foresight this year. The little funnel entrance/exit for the Mainframe was so shitty. Probably the worst logistical mistake I've ever seen at a Festival except perhaps the Parlor stage at Panorama this year.. Also going to throw in an obligatory mention of the lack of water again, because I can't think about this festival and not get pissed about that.
All that said, I'll be back next year. I was impressed with the bigger Mind Melt stage, and I trust them to continually book a great lineup after the past few years. I'll buy a Prophet Pass and I'd be shocked if it wasn't worth the price when the lineup drops next year.

Pros: great performances, great after-party selections, some good art pieces, great lighting and production Cons: very inconsistent sound (so many sets fell victim to way too much bass), Arca's terrible visuals, Eno's audio installation, water situation, limited food vendors and the bottleneck from the Main Frame.
Fav sets were Nicolas Jaar's DJ set, The Black Madonna, Nicolas Jaar, Danny Daze, the xx and Bonobo.
