Anyone know the perks of VIP for this fest? Do you get like front and center pit? Or
there was like a section off to the left of the main stage for VIP that had bars and shit that could go to and I think vip folks got beer for free (but that could be totally wrong) But, other than that, I don't think there was any real benefit of VIP. Actually, that's wrong, there was also an area with portapotties inside so their lines were shorter. The thing is, there wasn't really much of a line in the regular bathrooms and the VIP ones were further away from all the music than the regular ones.
So, unless there were perks I didn't know about and my memory about free beer is correct and you plan on drinking an absurd amount of beer at the fest, the VIP really isn't worth it. The crowds are never bad anyway (in size or quality.)
What acts does everybody want to see this year? We're starting send out offers. Post your wishlists thanks
Romare, Kaytranada, Miguel Migs, Amtrak with Durante, Leonce, Miles Mosley, Jimi Jules, Ibibio Sound Machine, Little Dragon and, what the hell... Midnight Star while you're at it.

thanks man, maybe I'll just save my money and just do regular GA instead. Just VIP looked so affordable for this fest I just wanted to know

Foresight (VIP) this year includes preferred viewing area at the main stage, dedicated entrance, A/C lounge area, private bathrooms, reduced price beverages, complimentary juice bar, and exclusive food options.
Holy crap, holy crap, holy crap. Do you guys think they'll be doing single day tickets for this? If not, i'll get the weekend pass for sure on Friday.
We will release single day tix in the summer but this first weekend pass tier is a way better value.
I would love to go to this the whole weekend, but i'm starting a new job and I'm not sure if I can swing the whole weekend. I'll probably just buy a weekend pass and see what's up. If anything, I'll snag the day pass and sell the weekend pass later on.
Who else do we think will be on the lineup? Anybody from the Gorillaz projects?
Danny Brown is opening on some dates so a possibility
Good call, he makes a lot of sense. Another one that wouldn't surprise me if they are still in the U.S./touring at all is the XX as one of our other headliners.

Don't want to step on your toes as I know you're probably wanting to push people to buy VIP, but based off of my experience last year it's incredibly easy to get a good spot at any stage (even the main), there was never a line to enter, and the bathrooms usually don't have a line and are clean, so I don't think VIP is really worth it for a lot of those reasons you said.
But, as an olive branch, I will say that the only reason VIP isn't worth the price is because the GA experience for this festival is just so damn great and the value for the 3 day ticket price is unparalleled. If anyone is weighing whether to do a single day or the whole weekend, just do the whole weekend, you won't be disappointed. This festival is so fucking great.
Hopefully The Avalanches too if they're still touring.
they're one of my top hopes too. Avalanches and Arcade are two of very few acts left on my realistic concert bucket list and I'm knocking out most of the others that are left this year!

I'm there with you especially since they sold out the Fillmore the last time they hit Miami. I was pretty surprised they skipped us. Hoping they're booked for this fest.

I have a feeling that if this lineup is as stellar as the first act announced, VIP might be worth it. One thing I loved was that people could spread out and enjoy the show. With Gorillaz, I'm feeling like we're going to see a larger crowd...

Arcade is the holy grail for south Florida. Minus their two club shows as the "Reflektors" (attended the one at the club), this band has never played a true show in Florida (to my knowledge)....

wait wait, what's this about "the reflektors?"
They played shows in Little Haiti as "The Reflektors" before they released the Reflektor album.
Decided not to go to this cause teir 3 is a little more than I wanted to spend along with having my friends spend that amount too. So instead I got 5 tickets for Gorillaz in Georgia. Pretty much the same spot we got for when we saw Tool there last year. Still would die to see Gorillaz in a festival environment. But as long as I get to see my dream band I'm happy
