I wanted to be at this show so bad. All my buddies were lollygagging back at camp and I couldn't get them to hurry up. Finally I said fuck it and left them behind, but it was to late. Biggest bummer of the weekend for me.
Yeah I didn't mind it being under attended at all. I was up close with tons of room to dance and 4 of the 9 other people from my camp who I convinced not to fuck up. They thanked me profusely afterwards

I was there. I was recovering from the incredible Jamie xx set and I got suckered in to a crowd of people just having a big ol' hootenanny near the access ramp and had a great time
Pretty sure i was about to see a human sacrifice at that point though, they were having maybe too much fun for it to be sanctioned by the lord
Spent the days leading up to this set debating between it and MMJ. I came close to seeing MMj, but stayed true to instinct and enjoyed this entire set in all its' glory. ZERO regret. Best set on Saturday, #2 of the fest (Caribou won the weekend for me).

At first I thought for sure I was at the wrong stage, I mean really, I got there 10 minutes before it started and nobody was there. What an amazing show !!! Thank you so much everyone for not attending it really made the show that much more special, reminded me of the old days of Bonnaroo when you could just walk up to attend an experience of amazing music. The way the tents spill over nowadays it seems some of the magic is lost.
this set was so much fun. from the bleeding gums murphy intro (charles lloyd) thru everyone in the tent getting down to the ground til the end it was such a good time dance party.

There were a couple of larger individuals that walked away right after that whole down to the ground part. I think they were embarrassed

I was there and it was maybe the most fun I've ever had at a show AND My Morning Jacket is my favorite live band, but I don't see the need in making people feeling stupid for missing it. It's a festival, you can't see it all. If you score a touchdown, hand the ball to the ref.

Fuck off, pull an ocho cinco and run to the 50 yard line and do your signature celebration in the middle of your opponent's symbol!!

Hell, chalking that up as an assist for me and dunk for you.
We should really keep inforoo stats... I may start this for the dumpster fire, give me something to do each night. And I keep up with every post in there anyway...

It's important to recognize past mistakes in order to prevent future ones.
Barely any MMJ fluffers entered this thread. They know they fucked up.
Nah I've been here the whole time, wanting to see who will be the most pretentious about it. So far the winner is all of you.
I never claimed to be a better person than the people, such as yourself, who fucked up by missing out on Atomic Bomb. In fact, I've said nothing about my own experience in this thread. I'm just letting people know how it is. I didn't mean to evoke emotion

You had fun at your show. I had fun at mine. In my book, no one fucked up. Trust me, I've seen plenty of awesome funk shows you haven't. It's pretty much my genre of choice. And I didn't know it took an emotion to identify pretension.

This was a fun thread until you showed up. Thanks.

Trust me when I say I wanted to see all 4 of these shows pretty badly but I can't miss my fav band at my fav venue with my favorite friends. That is just too hard to beat.
Mmj should play roo every year. Would make the other tents so much more roomy. Seriously, what is it about that shrill sounding dummy that people refuse to miss a show?
