Aaron was previously in Under The Influence of Giants, and other SoCal bands but wanted to venture out on his own to create more of an electo-pop sound. In 2011 the debut album Megalithic Symphony was released and went platinum due to the huge success of the of the single, “Sail.” "Sail" received a lot of exposure through commercials and television shows such as House, Vikings, and The Good Wife. “Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)” is the bands newest single off their sophomore album, “Run” which was released early this month.

Suggested Listening
Live Show I have only seen Awolnation once, last summer at The Taste of Chicago (don't ever go there for food) and they put on an awesome live show. Aaron's voice from everything from hitting the high pitch notes to the screaming in some songs was spot on. If you are looking to catch a high energy fun show I would suggest making time for them.
Random Facts
"Sail" was used to promote a game between the Canucks and Maple Leafs on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada. "Sail" ended up going platinum in the U.S but went double platinum in Canada. I blame the crazy hockey fans for this, whether its really true or not.
If you listen to the lyrics of the hit single "sail" it's a slightly dark and depressing song. Aaron wrote this song when he was in a bad place, he had no money and had almost given up on music. Never give up kids
Thanks for posting this! I love these guys! I first saw them in the fall of 2012 at a small show with Imagine Dragons opening (Both bands were just starting to take off). I also saw them at a local festival in 2013 with Twenty One Pilots and MGMT. Both shows were so full of energy and just generally fun. Can't wait to see them again at Roo!
