Apologies; I'm not entirely sure if this is the right place to post this, but it was my best guess.
Has anyone seen a James Murphy DJ set? I missed out on ever seeing LCD and he's doing a set nearby me in a few months, so I'm curious about seeing him. Does anyone know what he plays and what the overall show/vibe is like?
Seen him twice. Both times it was in a festival setting and the crowd wasn't that into it. I thought it was alright. He basically plays 70s throwback type mixes. Think Nile Rodgers meets LCD beats.

I'd echo this, music wise. The set I saw was very intimate, with maybe a few hundred fans. Everyone was very into it, dancing like mad. He even let people up on stage with him, so there was no separation between him and the fans. It was awesome.
