Massive Attack wrapping up Euro dates in late February seems promising.
Dear God, I hope they don't get Massive Attack because if they get LCD and Massive Attack, I will have to go and already know I can't afford the trip, haha. Hopefully Massive Attack plays some East Coast dates as well.

So, just gonna throw it out there, but I'm going weekend 1, and don't have a hotel booked yet. Before I do so, is anyone out there interested in splitting?

Late night raging and breakfast buffet in the campgrounds is where it's at.

Well that ship has already sailed, as I bought a shuttle pass, not a camping pass. Maybe I'll just take horns advice and rent a van and sleep down by the river. Probably much cheaper

Last year the following acts closed the Mainstage: AC/DC, The Weeknd, Drake Last year the following acts closed the Outdoor: Nero, Axwell^Ingrosso, Fitz and the Tantrums

Let's keep our expectations in check here.
In 2014, it looked like this:
Mainstage: Outkast, Muse, Arcade Fire Outdoor: the Knife, Nas, Disclosure.
Yeah, but look at the rest of the second lines for 2014. Broken Bells, Zedd, Girl Talk, Foster the People, Calvin Harris. Real ground breaking stuff.
Yeah, plus the Replacements, Ellie Goulding, Chromeo, QOTSA, Pharrell, Beck, NMH, Motorhead...don't bring up the chaff without mentioning the wheat.
Wouldn't really count Ellie Goulding and Chromeo as Prodigy/Massive Attack/Chemical Brothers-level bookings. And if Pharrell hadn't performed with 30 different people who aren't Pharrell, that set wouldn't have been remembered too fondly either.

Hey, I'd love to see a good electronic act on one of the main stages (that doesn't conflict with Outkast), but recent history suggests that's not a priority for Coachella anymore.

You can find camping passes for sale. You might even want to contact Frontgate and see if you can swap your shuttle pass for a camping pass - they sometimes have a few in reserve, so it's worth a shot.
I'm sure the comfort of the hotel is nice, but honestly, Coachella's campgrounds are so much nicer and easier than just about any other camping fest.
email sent, waiting for response. Keeping an eye on hotels for the time being. Anyone ever stay at Caliente Tropics hotel? Cheapish, but looks to be a distance from the nearest shuttle. Booked my flight tonight, nearly 1/2 the price I usually pay to go to Bonnaroo. Glad I'm finally gonna get this monkey off my back after the last few years of half assed attempts.
I suppose i could also airbnb if it comes down to it.
