This year's wristband package includes tickets for food on Thursday. Wonder if there were some lessons learned after last year's clusterquack. Thoughts?

To answer your question, yes I do believe that something was learned from last year but also I think the people who catered were not prepared for the madness that happened. I am glad we were able to eat but I know many didn't get to eat. It's good that they are always improving VIP for us.

My thought is that aside from the miscommunication about when it started, they just didn't pay any attention to rationing the food. It couldn't be said the number of diners was unknown. I really like Jim 'n Nicks's and it seems like an easy fix. Hopefully we'll get a second chance with them this year.

From what I heard they didn't have people serving at irate they just figured people would grab food themselves. But then they saw people exiting with massive piles of food so they quickly shut down the lines and grabbed people to serve food. But then they ran out way too early...yes they had good food too so I hope they come back.
I have no idea what actually happened, but I ended up chatting with 2 of the folks serving when I was in line waiting for more to be brought out. They both said they had no idea how it was supposed to work (serving us or letting us grab what we wanted) and thought that they didn't have close to the right amount of food to begin with. I didn't get the package, but I am surprised to hear they have a ticket for it too. My first thought on that is maybe a bunch of the RLARS, Guest, ect came that they weren't expecting on top of the VIP numbers?? Dunno, but hope they learned from it . . . . at least they haven't ran out of the free beer

I wouldn't say that. Guest/artists generally were restricted from the paid vip areas.
That I wasn't aware of. I have no source or anything, but always heard that they shared some of the VIP facilities. Thinking more I doubt that their numbers would have really made that much of a difference. Either way I just hope they learned from last year

Ya last year gf & I made the poor decision of getting in that VIP line... This year if it is remotely close to last year just going to move on. It was pretty awful unless you showed up right when it was starting.
