It's looking like I'm going to have to bail out due to the timing of this, plus some other factors. Do they really check to see if ID's match the name on the tickets? Ideally I'd like give my tix to someone and not lose out on $200.

That sucks. I was hoping to meet as many inforoosters as possible at this since I'm not sure who all I'll be meeting at roo... Hope everything works out. I have never been so I can't comment on the ID checking thing.

GL & Dave are two of my favorite posters as well. And don't worry. Your wife may fall in love with me, but I'll try really hard to turn my charm off. I make no promises though.

I tend to be less active in festival threads for ones I have no shot of going to, and alas, I got no chance of going to this.

If cheap hotel room has floor space, might I rent it? I have to come up with the funds for a ticket first. Still thinking of volunteering, but it sounds like that only gets me into the fest one day while not working

I think if I can pick up a couple of odd jobs and sell a few things that I pull out of the garage and barn as I'm cleaning them out I might be able to pull this off. I'll have to split a room with a couple of people or rent hotel room floor space from someone. I won't know for sure until much closer to the fest date if I can make it but I'm a definite maybe at this point. I'm praying to the festival gods to help me make this happen.
