Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Re: Inforoo meet up up...I wouldn't be opposed. I've only met a few people on here before but I'd be happy to help coordinate such an event for Riot Fest, maybe along with Chicojuarz (it won't let me tag him for some reason)?
Maybe lunch before the festival Friday? Papas Chache Sabroso is right down the street from the festival and they're BYOB. We could get some jibaritos (best in the city IMO) and have a few adult beverages before going in? If people are interested let me know and we can make it happen.
Unless they get very close to selling out, I'm probably going wait until after Roo and Firefly to buy my ticket.
Keep an eye out, but you should be fine. This has surprisingly never sold out in its current format. Although apparently it was still profitable enough to continue to expand.

I'm down to help coordinate. And definitely down for some lunch
Sorry, let me rephrase the question so it make more sense...Anybody been to Humboldt? Is it as nice as Grant?
Humboldt is not in a very gentrified area. It's still got a fair amount of gang violence, but the boricua is a great neighborhood. Riot Fest brings a lot of people that dont really fit in there. So, is it a nice touristy park with lots of the amenities we roll out for visitors? No. Is it a great part of Chicago that people should visit? Yes.

I've not been to Pittsburgh but I imagine the seediest parts of Chicago are like a red carpet by comparison.

See, that wasn't so hard. Thank you.
One of the best things about this site is the diversity of member location...someone from any given area always has the appropriate insight or opinion on venues.

The lady got us squared away for Denver! Taking a shuttle out to the middle of nowhere is the only drag, but even that drag is soaked in debauchery and beer, and the more I think about it, I LOVE the middle of nowhere, so just forget about it. I'm a happy guy. Last year was a blast, even with a fest ending monsoon.
I'd love to snag a couple of acts from Chicago, but there's already plenty to keep me busy. I think I'm looking forward to revisiting some stuff I haven't listened to in many, many years - Get Up Kids, Mineral, New Found Glory - nostalgia trippin' can be a mixed bag. My favorite part about these lineups might be the acts I love, but would still likely pass on if they were playing on their own - Weezer, Wu-Tang Clan, Violent Femmes.
It's been interesting to watch this fest evolve over time....if I go this year it will be my 5th one. I wonder if the whole albums thing is in part their way of getting around acts who have played 3-4-5 times.
Strong possibility of the Blood Brothers being one of the question marks. I'm also thinking maybe Sunny Day Real Estate, Television, Bad Religion, or Braid.
I highly suggest people check out Circa Survive if possible. Although they're honestly not one of my favorite bands anymore, I've seen them a few times and they consistently put on AMAZING high-energy shows. Lots of crowd interaction. When I saw them in Philly they had GIANT balls full of confetti that they ping-ponged with the audience. Anthony Green is a great performer and I can't recommend their live show enough.

Saosin just played Philly with Anthony last week. Unable to attend but from what I herd it was a great show. Saw Circa at Roo a few years back and it was a fantastic show. Would love to see them again.

I'd freak the fuck out if it was Marquee Moon. Thanks for putting that thought in my head.
