This is even more sad because I am a huge fan of the hunger games and was looking forward to him being in the movies. I need to not like series, love HP & Richard Harris died. Now HG & PSH dies.

RIP. So Tragic.
"They're not literally his children. They're the Little Lebowski Urban Achievers - inner city children of promise but without the necessary means for a - necessary means for a higher education. So Mr Lebowski is committed to sending all of them to college."
This is really sad. He was an incredible actor. I just hate heroin. I had a cousin die from an infected heroin needle and it has killed many people by overdose.
About 9-10 years ago I was working the Hampton Film festival and he was there as well. I had caught him sticking his hand in the loose candy box and told him if he wanted more that he needed to pay for it. He apologized and then walked off to his movie. Way to young to go. R.I.P.
I feel like I don't need to say how much I loved this guy's work... from bit parts in certain films, to his more famous starring roles, he never disappointed me. Watched Big Lebowski earlier this week, and I had forgotten how hilarious he was in that movie. Watched Magnolia a couple of days ago, and yet again I had forgotten how great he was in that, too. I will hold to the grave the opinion that he should have won Best Supporting Actor for Doubt over the posthumous recognition of Heath Ledger... I think a lot of people really took for granted just how amazing (and consistently amazing, at that) he was.
R.I.P. to I guess I'd have to say, yet again, one of my favorite actors of all time... the passing of Peter O'Toole late last year was somewhat expected, but this with Hoffman is just crushing. There won't be another like him, I don't think.
As with just about anything, I had to take a few to process the news. I loved a lot of movies that he was in, he just had a unique way of absorbing the character he was playing. He was able to do this even when he was not physically on screen. One of my favorite movies is Mary and Max. He did the voice of Max. It was a powerful performance I will never forget.
