So, I've been stalking this forum for months and have finally decided to officially say hello! This will be my husband and I's firs Bonnaroo and needless to say, I'm super excited! I've tried for years to get him to commit but deployments kept on getting in the way. Anyhoo, back to the Roo...I had a couple of questions, since we are splurging on VIP tickets I wanted to know a couple of things::
1. I'm pretty sure this is a silly question but I just wanted to confirm the parking does come with the admission price? We'll be driving our car so it's not a RV or anything but I just wanted to be certain.
2. With all of the amenities, would you still recommend that I bring an air mattress? We don't have any problems on our mattress topper and I'm assuming, if there are any uncomfortable nights, we could just make use of the lounge chairs in the a/c VIP Lounge?
3. Should I still pack meals (aside from snacks) since there are so many food vendors there? I mean there's the breakfast truck, VIP dinner on Thursday and then the VIP brunch on Saturday, it seems like we could just do all of our meals from that so I just don't want to go through the hassle.
4. How do I get into this Inforoo VIP camp group thing? We'd LOVE to meet some awesome people and share the experience!!
5. Hypothetically, if one were to put vodka in their water bottles and tequila their sweet tea bottles, would one be able to pull the wool over an inspector's eyes? Just wondering, you know, hypothetically.....
So far, that's all. I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me since I'm a little obsessive when it comes to planning. Thanks in advance for putting up with me! =D

With each pair of VIP tickets, you get a parking pass which gives you 1 campsite/parking spot (one in the same here).

Up to you on the air mattress The VIP Lounge closes in the middle of the night until the morning. Not sure on the exact hours, but they didn't take too kindly to people snoozing in there when I did VIP a couple years ago.

Personally I don't bring food to Bonnaroo. There are plenty of vendors with delicious food, which leaves you not only packing lighter, but free to eat whatever you feel like eating at the moment (instead of pre-planning meals). People who bring food ALWAYS wind up either bringing it home, tossing a ton out (spoilage), or leaving it behind. I think pre-planning and making meals at camp only makes sense if you're in a large group or if you're trying to scrimp (which I'm guessing you're not, cause...VIP )

Luck of the draw. Some people get it in, others get it dumped, really just depends on your security guard.

crazykittensmile with the faster typing! I bring some food with me, can's of tuna, deli meats, simple stuff like that that doesn't take any real prep. Bringing way too much food was one of my rookie mistakes. I spent like $60 on groceries and only ate $15 worth.
Welcome. I too go the minimal food route. Centeroo and some of the pods in the campgrounds have tons of food choices from vegan to the Thurman Murman sandwich, a most decidedly and deliciously not-vegan festie food. Besides maybe $20 in pre-purchased snacks, I ate whatever I wanted in Centeroo for about $20 a day. Maybe $25. (food, not beverages)
Check out some of the older threads in the VIP Hill subforum. It's pretty informative.
Welcome to the threads! I can't answer any of the VIP specific questions but on the food question I would say to bring plenty of drinks (gatorade & water) and some snacks at the very least. As far as getting alcohol in, do you mean into Centeroo or the actual festival site? You can bring vodka and tequila to your campsite as long as it's not in glass and as far as getting it into Centeroo I've seen people put alcohol into a CamelBak.
