Gotta shout out to my Razorbacks, beating Kentucky two days ago and now have a pivotal game against Georgia today....woo pig sooie!!!!!
Any team that takes down UK (and in such a fashion) makes me happy.
I heard a stat that this is Calipari's first time to lose to the same team twice in the regular season, it makes me extra happy to see Arkansas as the team to pull that off....I hope other teams start following suit and taking Calipari down.

I've never had much of a problem with Calipari, it's more about the "one and done" mentality that seems to be so prevalent today. That's why I'm so happy my Bearcats are doing so fantastic this year w/ 3 starting seniors. You feel more of a connection with guys you've watched play for 3-4 years, rather than spending all of November memorizing new names and numbers.

I'm hoping Kentucky's "struggles" this year (I'm sure most teams would be happy to be at a point where how they are performing is considered struggling") will make people shy away wanting to get the one and dones.

TacticalTurtleneck not a bad loss at a tough place to play like UCONN...the announcers put it best when one asked "would you want to play either of these teams in the NCAA tourney?" and the other replied "NO WAY".

No coaches are going to shy away from recruiting the most talented players they can get. Having experience is really important, but you have to get talent first. New NBA commissioner Adam Silver is in favor of a 20 year old age minimum. No idea when that could happen though.

True, you can't fault Calipari and other coaches for getting "one and done" guys because I know I would be happy if my team I root for got guys like that if it meant we were getting the best players....or if I was a coach I'm sure I wouldn't turn them down.

It's always weird going to a senior game when there are no seniors on the team this year. But in 3 years we'll have like 8 people graduate, so that's gonna be terrible too.

I'm a current UNC student! I'm pretty pleased with how we've turned things around after a terrible start to the season. Look for us to be climbing the rankings soon!

Yeah. I'm not one to boo-hoo officiating (especially in games that we lost by clearly being sub-par offensively), but TV Ted might be the worst ref in the NCAA. There's ZERO reason to get in a coach's face over a call. He's done that numerous times. Just awful.
Two straight losses, one to a scary Louisville team on a token Russ Smith buzzer beater, another to an underrated UConn team that always comes to play in March. 5 total losses, 4 on the road or on a neutral court, all of them to tournament teams.
To say I'm excited for my lower bowl seats to Senior Day against Memphis on Thursday would be an understatement.

Reading your post makes me realize that I was dead wrong when I thought the new conference alignments were doing to turn the American into a garbage league..it sounds like Cincy has had to run the gauntlet in that conference...I hope you have a blast at that game!

Yeah, we kind of thought that. Losing Louisville to the ACC next year hurts a bit, but SMU has stepped up nicely. Between Cincy, UConn, Memphis, and SMU, we've got a solid top 4 looking forward. If Temple can get it's act together, we can have ourselves a tough little conference.
Really, the scheduling is what makes the gauntlet so rough. Look at the last 5 games of the season for these teams: Memphis: Temple (won in OT), houston (L), #7 Louisville (W), @ #11 Cincinnati (Thursday), and #23 SMU (Saturday) Louisville: @ #7 Cincy (W), Temple (W), @ #21 Memphis (L), @#23 SMU (Wednesday), and UConn (Saturday, and UConn will be ranked by then) Cincinnati: @ UCF (W), #11 Louisville (L), @uconn (L), #23 Memphis (Thursday), @ Rutgers (Saturday)
The conference tournament at the end of next week should be fun.

Hooray conference tourney time! SMU stepping up has helped my Arkansas Razorbacks too, since that has turned into a quality win for Arkansas...SMU looks like they're going to be good for years to come with their solid recruiting.
THings were looking bleak when Brandon Ashley got injured, but now Arizona is playing as good as they have all season. We went undefeated at home this season with no team scoring 70 points

Just a thought. If I were to make a Bracket pool on ESPN.com once the seeds are announced next Sunday, would there be enough interest? No money or anything, just bragging rights. If not ESPN, what would you guys prefer? I've used ESPN and liked it. CBS SportsLine was a bit of a mess and I'm not a huge Yahoo guy. Thoughts?

Picked to finish 10th in the league, finished 5th. Siena plays Cansius in the first round of the tourney. I hope they make both Baron's cry like the little babies they are.

Teddy shouldn't have jumped in his face and we will never know what set him off, but its important to note that through all that he didn't T Cronin up for his rampage when he easily could have. So, while in one way he should have shown more restraint, he balanced it out by letting Mick vent quite a bit.

I would definitely be in! ESPN is the best in my opinion.

Sounds like a plan then. I might make a new thread once we get to Selection Sunday just to garner even more interest, but this seems like a ton of fun. I've used ESPN in the past and it's pretty user-friendly (you don't have to register if you just link it to your facebook account, they also do the old school email registration).
Quick poll: How many brackets does everyone think would be fair to submit. Most pools I've entered in the past allow for up to 2 brackets. I like that idea because it allows you to submit a "here's what's probably going to happen" bracket and a "wow, this would be fun to watch" bracket where someone like Iona wins the title. Thoughts? 1 bracket or 2?
