He said all those rumors about shows. I specifically asked about festivals like Counterpoint and Bonnaroo just to clarify. There's been some good info on the subject getting passed around. I don't think we have anything to worry about.

I saw them a little over a year ago and thought the show had no flow to it. I walked away very unhappy. I remember trying to force myself to liking Vs and Vitology as a kid. Pearl Jam just isn't for me.

Okay so I just read all 20 pages of this thread. Kanye needs to be at Bonnaroo. I saw him at ACL in 2011 and it was incredible. I'm seeing him and Kendrick this Friday in Dallas and I'm beyond excited. I've been to Bonnaroo 3 times and everyone there preaches positivity and this is a huge way to actually practice it.
I was actually thinking about Kanye + Bonnaroo a few weeks ago and was thinking, what if AC/Superfly made it into some type of marketing scheme? If they asked him to headline, and then worked with he and his team to kind of apologize for what happened and make light out of the whole incident as opposed to letting it be a downer. Kind of like how people announce the lineup the day it comes out, how funny would be be to incorporate cheesey things like that with Kanye...kinda Kanye making fun of Kanye? It would also work in Bonnaroo's favor because they would be able to market themselves in a positive light.
Kanye will be back at Bonnaroo at some point and I do hope it's this coming June. he's a genius and an artist, something I think everyone that goes to Bonnaroo can appreciate. He's worked with Justin Vernon on two of his albums, multiple tracks. Paul McCartney even loves the dude. He can be frustrating and annoying at times, but he has his reasons.

We were leaving and my wife starting poking me in the ribs, but couldn't say anything. She was speechless. Then I realized the dude in the beanie was Andre 3000. I said hey, took a picture, and asked about upcoming shows. It's funny because Kanye was saying how special the night was in Atlanta because he has 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, TI, Jeezy were in the house. There was no mention of Andre 3000 easing in the seating section of the venue.

My friend just brought up a good point to me. If Kanye does grace us with his presence this year, will he bring the Yeszus set up? The moutain and screen were huge parts of the show. Would that even be able to fit the What stage?

I'm not sure if the full Yeezus set up as it is would work at Bonnaroo. But, they could do some modifications to make it work. It think the mountain might fit. They could do a regular back of stage screen instead of the round overhead screen, although Radiohead had a bunch of hanging screens. That leaves the stage that protrudes out into the audience. I don't know if Bonnaroo ever has ever done that before. The Yeezus stage set up is actually fairly simple, but each component does some cool sh*t.
