I can't recall VIP ever selling out....there's always been lots of space left every time I've gone.
does anybody else know?
I asked a similar question in the Important Dates of Roo thread. Last two years they have the 'sellout' for both GA and VIP the same day in June. So i'm assuming there hasn't been a unique VIP sell out before? If so there is no date on that thread

IIRC in 2011 GA sold out in May but VIP didn't. In 2012 both were "sold-out" because it was too late to ship tickets. I bet GA sells out in mid-May, similar to 2011.

VIP sold out in '11 IIRC. I know it sold out early at least 1 year prior to the "sell-out" last year. Point is, I think they are actually going to sell it out again this year. Regardless, there has always been plenty of space.
Is it just me, or is VIP not available any longer when you try to purchase it? I just went on to see for Shytz n giggles and it isn't even an option when you get to the purchase screen.

Well, I don't have extra VIP but I do have a 2 pack for the guest area. My friend that couldn't afford to come actually won them from a local radio station last week. Although the station kept calling them "VIP" - her email said "guest passes." Thanks to all the info on this board - I found out that "guest" -although it has alot of great perks - is not allowed to camp with VIP. She has never been and no way was she going to camp in some separate area. (I would love to have a shot at the guest area but I am the only Roo vet in the group I convinced to go this year -and everybody told me I couldn't do it!) We were waiting to get a for sure answer from the radio station when the warning came out about the sell out. So on Friday I went on and bought a another VIP package so she can be with us.
So the point of my long tail...if anybody missed out on VIP-- I have 2 for the guest area I will be selling trying to recover the cost of the package I had to buy. (Also - maybe a single from the package if I can't convince 1 more person to go) PM me is you have any interest.

Tickets are available again! After the heart attack I had Sunday, I composed myself and shot an email off to music today. They responded this morning by saying that if the website doesn't list them sold out, they're not sold out. Now, I found that somewhat insulting since I received the email just after placing a call to check ticket availability by phone, nevertheless I wanted it to be true so I checked the website again and voila. Tickets!
well, I guess we're back. As a newbie VIP holder, not sure if I'm hoping for a sellout or wanting it to be "empty." Praying for pit access at which stage.

Yaaa I've thought about this as well and I'm kind of leaning towardthe philosophy of sell out. Sure there are more people, but there would of already be a fucking ton of people anyway. And when a show is completely sold out everyone is just that more grateful to be there. Spurs generosity, better sing alongs, the whole works. So I say bring on the sale out! (as if it mattered its going to sell out)
