This will be the first year that we will be doing VIP. I would prefer not to buy our tickets until May. Is there any chance that VIP would sell out before then? Should I be concerned about a influx of VIP'ers with McCartney on the line up? Any thoughts would help. Thanks
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
I definitely think it will sell out again this year (I believe VIP was a true sellout last year, it was pretty packed), and even faster than last year. And yes, I think Macca and Petty will draw even more of the VIP crowd in. That being said, you might be okay in May...but why chance it? If you can afford it I would at least suggest going with the payment plan for piece of mind.

For the past two to three years VIP tickets have been available until late May. From bing there and seeing how much space was there VIP was not a sell out. I'm sure they have to stop the sales to put numbers to food catering and such logistics.
I think that last year was the first time in my 5 years that I can recall VIP sold out and that was only a few days before the party got started. For the first time in many years I don't have my tix ordered by now. My son can't make it this year and not too many people my age seem too excited about it so it was shaping up to be a solo trip but only for the drive since there's no such thing as not being with friends at the farm. The big problem is that a slip on the ice during the big February storm left me with ruptured tendons in my knee and the Doc can't guarantee that I'll be up to the marathon that is Bonnaroo. It's just too much to spend knowing I might not be able to go. With some luck, come May I'll be mobile and VIP tickets will still be available. It looks like another outstanding lineup.
