Hello fellow 'Rooers. I'm taking VIP up a notch (I think) and decided to bring a RV down this year. I'm wondering what suggestions you all can give me to make sure our experience is kick ass. What would a rookie RVer need to watch out for? Any absolute No - No's?

Few things i would add or clarify - if you are not experienced with RV's - have everyone pay attention for the walk through when you pick up. It's a lot to remember for a noob. We've not had a book in any of the rentals to-date. Keep the rental companies phone # handy and call them if you have issues.
Make sure you know where the reset switches are when you run too many things at once - AC, lights, all the kids ipods, etc etc. I learned this the hard way on the way to Roo last year - but worked out well as I was able to guide several campers through the reset when their AC stopped. (Class A's - Outside - drivers side - towards the front - generator compartment - there is a panel over the generator - remove the panel - upper left of generator -two flip switches - both should always be on.)
Consider getting an exhaust extender if the rental does not have one so you can route the exhaust further away from the Rv. Its a courtesy for the neighbors who did not park right. The gents did some amazing McGyver stuff last year with scissors, beer cans, and gorilla tape.
Last year - saturday night i think - there was a very low, heavy cloud cover which seems to have trapped all the exhaust in GA RV land. About 3 am we had to get up because the CO detectors were going off. Stepped out of the RV to find most of the neighborhood were all up - because tons of CO's were going off all around. Get up and ventilate!
Speaking of those CO detectors - they DO NOT LIKE aerosol air fresheners such as lysol or fabreeze. Do your crew a favor and do not spritz the air after an early morning bathroom call. They wont appreciate the CO alarm at 6 am. Just close the bathroom door and go back to bed.
Have to agree with xray.. the RV'ers seem to be a little more to themselves. I do all of the planning but hoping Quacker is out on the VIP RV thread getting us hooked up with a spot near Roo'ers!!
Does anyone doing VIP RV have an extra VIP parking pass? I just upgraded to VIP and I'll get the wristband but the package does not include a parking pass.
