Hey all! I posted this in Gene's RV thread before I realized there was a VIP subgroup. This is only my second 'roo (first was 2006) and my friend and I decided to rent an on-site RV. Has anyone done that before in either VIP or GA (and is willing to share their experience), or is this the first year that's been an option?
We did this last year and it was perfect for us - but I brought three small children with me. It was great to have a place to go for rest and AC for the kids to recharge so we could see more music. We were going to rent an RV up here and drive it down, but 2 things - we wanted to be able to drive to the Walmart if the kids needed something and we didn't want to waste precious time with the water and connections and waste "stuff" that would be required. The RVs were new, very nice and spacious and the people that ran them were very helpful and we had no issues whatsoever.
Does anyone recall if these on-site RV rentals sold out last year? I really want to do this but I'm not sure I'll have the cash to front both the first RV payment as well as VIP tickets in a few weeks. Hoping I can grab the tickets first and put the deposit down on the RV a few weeks later. Any tips would be a huge help! Thanks!
Oh - and just to throw it out there... anyone thinking of doing the RV thing that might be up for splitting it up? I've organized a split RV a bunch of years before and would be up for going in on one possibly but don't want to do the reserving this time.
