Their set in '09 probably still stands as my favorite surprise at 'roo. I had heard some of their stuff and really liked it, but they really blew me away live. Where would they slot if they made their return this year? I would love to see them get a LN.
Also, off topic but I didn't think it would be worth it's own thread, any love for Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks? If we can't have Pavement, this could be a cool daytime set.
09 was my first time hearing TVOTR, and since then they have become one of my favourite bands. I would love to see them again now that I know their music well. I would love to see them play Give Blood too, but not sure if they would play any Rain Machine or Maximum Balloon stuff.

Yeah, I had heard some of their music before the '09 show because my best friend's wife loved them. I liked what I had heard, so I checked them out, and they have quickly become a favorite of mine. Dear Science is one of my most played albums.
On Stephen Malkmus, where do you think a set with the Jicks would slot on the lineup? Daytime stage or tent maybe?

No worries. It's amazing looking at the bands that have played over the years. A few surprises hidden in there. It kills me to think I saw Joanna Newsome in 05 in a tent, during the day.
Not to change the thread direction but I saw Pavement back in their hayday and thought they were just ok both times. One show in particular, Codeine blew them away.

Yeah, I hear ya. I must have played that album well over a hundred times, and more specifically DLZ , 200 times, lol.
DLZ was probably my favorite TVOTR song until Nine Types of Light came out. New Cannonball Blues is on of the greatest songs I have ever heard by any band.

I'm sure Malkmus would be a day-time tent set. Where would you prefer to see TV on the Radio? I think LN Friday would suit them well, but I could also see a pre-HL set as a possibility, or even possibly the last Which act before the LNs on Friday or Saturday.
I'm casting my support toward this thread! Malkmus on the farm would be great - and I've never seen TV on the Radio live.
Malkmus would be awesome. Also, I had barely listened to TV on the Radio until I saw them in '09 and they instantly became one of my favorite bands. So yeah, they put on a hell of a show.
