Above all, I want to see Glen Hansard rock the farm this summer. I've seen him eight times in concert either with The Frames, The Swell Season, or solo. Having him at Bonnaroo would be a major win. There is a reason that he's the best live performer that I've ever seen.
He's coming out with a solo album this summer, so it would coincide perfectly.
No thanks. I'd prefer to avoid any instances of audience suicide at Bonnaroo.
Even as a joke, not a really cool comment. I can't imagine having been at that concert. Anyway, I've been to many of his shows and have thus far avoided feelings of suicide during.

I see your point, but still. Attracting thugs and violence is different from a man plunging to his death on stage, as it really happened. Besides, I've never said anything about the thugs and violence.

He still does the occasional show with The Frames. They toured together last year and sounded better than ever. I'd imagine that The Frames are going to be the backing band on his new album.
I don't remember any suicides or outbreaks of violent mayhem at his Swell Season tent set in '08. Damn, that was a magical show! (Despite him trying to compensate for Les Claypool nearly drowning him out from the Which Stage!)
The show was one of my all-time favorites of any on the Farm, ever - mainly because he did my favorite Frames song:
Yes, yes, yes, yes! I will take Glen in any form, as he is one of my top music idols. The show in 08 is also one of my favorites of all time. I didn't know he was coming out with an album either so thanks for the heads up.
