That sounds pretty quackin sick!
It was a quacking blast. And Skrillex played NO dubstep, they played mostly all House music. They got on stage and called themselves the German House Mafia and said they wanted to take a break from the grimey poop they've been playin on tour. I wasnt complaining.

U2/Nashville Here Come the Mummies/Chattanooga Flaming Lips/Sound Town and Moogfest Ghostland Observatory/Chattanooga Bassnectar/Bonnaroo MMJ/Nashville
that's what I can think of, probably forgetting some shows.
I'm just impressed that you guys can remember shows that you've attended in the past 12 months. (I'd totally forgotten I had gone to that U2 show until I saw Jade post it)
T-Shorty at Terminal 5 M83 at Williamsburg Music Hall Pretty Lights at 'Roo
And I'll throw Phish at MSG (this coming Friday) on there because with the supplies I'm bringing, staring at a dog hump a homeless guy would be "the best show of 2011"
Edit:
Throw Robert Randolph and Soulive @ Brooklyn Bowl on there. They played a ridiculous show for only a few hundred fans.
Also forgot that I saw Paul McCartney at Yankee Stadium. Yes, an event I had been looking forward to essentially my entire 25 years of life slipped my mind.

I mark everything down in my last.fm concert calendar, otherwise I'd forget as well.
Here's my attempt at a list, but I'm sure there's a lot I'm leaving out:
1. The National/Arcade Fire - Chicago 2. Robyn - Bonnaroo 3. The Raconteurs - Nashville 4. Feist (semi-secret show) - Nashville 5. The Decemberists - Nashville 6. The Flaming Lips - Nashville 7. Wanda Jackson - Nashville 8. U2 - Nashville (this would have been higher except it was 8000 degrees that night and the heat/people made it almost unbearable)

same here! That was actually a really good show. But if I couldn't even remember it it probably doesn't deserve to be on my list

That's awesome. I have a friend that writes down every show he sees, what band(s) opened and who was there.
He reminded me I saw The Strokes with Guided By Voices at a small club in DC.

maybe this is my "weird thing". i can tell you the date of almost every show i've seen (without looking at my lastfm or songkick, that's what i use now). i also keep track of set lists.

1. U2 w/ Florence + The Machine - Nashville, TN 2. Foo Fighters - Chicago, IL (Lollapalooza) 3. Arctic Monkeys - Chicago, IL (Twice in 24 hours!) and Atlanta, GA 4. Broken Social Scene - Atlanta, GA 5. Lykke Li - Chicago, IL 6. Coldplay - Atlanta, GA 7. Arcade Fire - Manchester, TN 8. Bon Iver - Atlanta, GA 9. Cut Copy - Atlanta, GA (Opening night of the tour!) and Asheville, NC 10. Mastodon - Asheville, NC 11. My Morning Jacket - Manchester, TN and Chicago, IL 12. The Joy Formidable - Atlanta, GA 13. Ellie Goulding - Chicago, IL 14. Girl Talk - Clemson, SC 15. Friendly Fires - Chicago, IL
Biggest regrets include giving the Moogfest press pass to one of my writers (instead of using it myself), not seeing Broken Social Scene on their last foreseeable tour, and missing Watch the Throne's opening night in Atlanta.
I love how many of us were at the same shows but didn't realize until now when we're comparing lists. We need an InforoosterFinder smartphone app!
My top shows (8 of 10 I enjoyed w/at least 1 or more of y'all!):
01. U2 | Nashville (#1 b/c I was on the rail, which rocked) 02. Elbow | Center Stage, Atlanta (happiest singalong concert of the year) 03. Moby | Moogfest 04. Tangerine Dream | Moogfest (legendary performers; epic performance) 05. Coldplay | MusicMidtown, Atlanta (new music under starry skies w/dear friends: magical!) 06. Avett Brothers | Track29, Chattanooga (best show of theirs I've EVER SEEN! Had an amazing time w/Inforoosters, too!) 07. MMJ | Hangout (got to hear the new stuff live before Circuital came out...sweet!) 08. The Head & the Heart | Bonnaroo (early Sunday; it felt like a church singalong!) 09. Wilco | Ryman, Nashville 10. Pixies | TN Theatre, Knoxville 11. Paul Simon | Hangout (c'mon, it's Paul freakin' Simon...and on the beach, too?)
honorable mention: A Perfect Circle | Tabernacle, Atlanta (would've made the cut if not for all the damn cover songs)
EDIT: had to add in the Avetts show from 12.30.11 because it was too good to exclude from the list!
I really slacked out on my concert attendance this year... only did 3 notable shows, they were all great...
Prince in Columbia - Probably the greatest concert I've ever attended, actually. Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group in Asheville - Basically The Mars Volta performing largely new material... performance wise, the best of the 5 times I've seen them, but there have been better setlists. VNV Nation in Charlotte - Only time seeing this act, blew me away, way better than I'd expected... best audience participation of any show I've ever been to. Also, one of the most fun dance parties ever.
