I've never seen anything like that in VIP except for the tent city area where you rent their tents. I'd recommend trying to hook up with the Inforoo group in VIP and see if you can tag along with them. They have had a pretty good size group the last few years and always seem like they have a blast.
We were on the end of a row in VIP this year and had two groups of people camp next to us that took the shuttle in. I seen several people walk around until they found an empty spot to set up camp.
