I couldn’t even get in there to see Trevor Dunn at Big Ears. Seeing GYBE in there would be incredible.
It's my second fave venue on Earth. The only way this show could line up better for me would be if they let me do the setlist (which I would actually hate bc the pressure).

I couldn’t even get in there to see Trevor Dunn at Big Ears. Seeing GYBE in there would be incredible.
It's my second fave venue on Earth. The only way this show could line up better for me would be if they let me do the setlist (which I would actually hate bc the pressure).
It would be really hard to make a setlist because you only get 5 or 6 songs. I’d just insist on Moya.

We met and interviewed David Yow and David Sims when VN opened for Scratch Acid in like 1985. I didn't know those cats were the force behind TJL. I saw them at Day for Night, and they were decent enough.

Why does that music hall in Boston (5k capacity) seem to always get dates on tours that are otherwise arena tours? I'd figure that is a big enough market that any tour that is playing arenas in all other markets could play it there.
I guess Detroit also got a theater date here but I've specifically noticed it in Boston before
The really weird thing is that LiveNation owns both the MGM Music Hall and the waterfront pavilion in Boston, both of which have nearly identical 5K-ish capacities. You'd think that, during the warm weather months, they'd opt to put tours in the outdoor pavilion. Yet, there are so many tours which could have been booked at either venue, with both open on a given date, that were booked at MGM Music Hall.
