I don't know....ticket fees are dependent on the platform and their business needs. If anything, it might drive ticket fees UP as that will mean multiple ticketing agencies trying to win exclusivity with venues which means said venue might take the highest bid which cost is then passed to consumer. Dynamic/Platinum pricing exist on multiple platforms aside from Ticketmaster such as AXS. That aspect of ticketing is controlled by artists and promoters so as long as they opt in, it'll demand.
To your third point, not sure how a certain promoter controlling or not controlling a venue so that could be one positive. I still doubt it will impact major cities as most venues won't want to work with multiple promoters/ticketing agencies and likely still go with one if there is a payment upfront and/or to only have one working relationship.

Breaking up monopolies is always a good thing and if Live Nation is broken up it will be net win for consumers, smaller artists and venues.
I'm not defending Live Nation, but on the flip side of that, trying to figure out buying tickets to a show like Bruce Springsteen in Paris was so fucking confusing because there was no real primary ticket vendor, so it was pretty confusing to try and get tickets from 3 different websites when a high-demand event went on sale. Maybe it was worth the savings but man... it felt needlessly complicated.

I've heard from multiple sources that touring Europe, particularly for NA acts, is BARELY if at all profitable due to the various regulations. This is purely speculation on my part, but I often wonder if North America bears the brunt of excessive costs so subsidize global touring.

Yup, and Europeans just generally balk at the prices that Americans will pay. They have less disposable income than Americans who prefer to overspend on concert tickets and neglect their health.

i actually think what would work best isn't breaking up Livenation but allowing them to purchase some other companies to better vertically integrate the entertainment economy. like maybe if Livenation bought Publix we could get dynamic pricing for bakery cookies or Boars Head Deluxe Ham convenience fees.
In my experience, Europeans also regard ticket resellers as total scum and not a necessary evil, and there are ticket exchange sites where you can buy other people's tickets with a tiny markup (like 2 euro) and the site apologizes for the extra cost.

Well look at that, another "popular" band cancelling a tour cause nobody is gonna fucking pay. The artist thinks their value is a certain number and nobody is gonna have it. These dudes legit need to come down to earth and realize you can play mid size venues and sell that shit out and not be embarrassed like this. Def got blinded by the high guarantee LN was giving them and assumed it would do fine.

The funny thing is that Beyonce and Taylor stans just figured that shit out for these last tours. And yeah European audiences look at a certain number and get upset at the cost. We are so conditioned to our prices that we laugh.

I saw TBK back in Jan at an iHeart fest and they were first just for the reason of trying to get people to show up early. It didnt really work.
I think if Chappell was gonna announce one more run of shows it prob wouldve happened already. Its not like they dont understand the demand and all. And considering she played a bunch of shows in between dates opening for Olivia a few months ago she would have a 4th leg of her tour.

Yup, I was there. They're probably about an even pull in terms of ticket sales at this point so would have been a good double bill in 2024.
Its so weird that last year was a summer full of package tours and for good reason. This year some of those acts thought they could just do it alone and are proving the point.
