I am really getting tired of seeing artists I want to see, not playing New Orleans. So depressing.
Hate can commence, but I seriously hope they aren't wasting a mid or upper card spot on Voodoo's lineup. I can't stand them or their gimmickry. I tried. I tried. I tried again. It's annoying.

Which one of the many bands that are skipping NOLA are you talking about?
My summer is looking pretty epic if I can pull off Shaky Knees > Bonnaroo > Paul McCartney > Kendrick Lamar > Panorama Festival
Also Paul McCartney dates

Fu*cough*ture Islands
That is who I thought you might be referring to. Are they big enough to be a headliner or sub? I don't think that they are, I think if they are booked for Voodoo it would be mid-tier level. Most the people that I know who go to Voodoo aren't huge fans or don't know them at all.

yeah, just a mid to upper-mid card act. I almost prefer anything.
Im planning on doing Planetarium Tuesday, Kendrick Wednesday, and FYF starting Friday.
Will be legendary if I can get tickets for the 2 former.
I feel like it shouldn't be too hard to get tickets for that Planetarium show, but who knows. I'll try for it anyway. I'm planning to do PJ Harvey on that Wednesday, and then FYF. Hoping there'll be some nice after dark shows on Thursday night in LA.
Crazy how fast tickets move in Asheville. Future Islands is playing the Orange Peel June 1st, tickets were released at the beginning of April and sold it out in a week. Mac Demarco is playing Highland Brewing in about a month (holds little over 2K) and it's sold out, in which I did grab a ticket for that in advance. Primus is playing that same venue three days later and it sold out in less than 24 hours. Jason Isbell has already sold out a show for mid-June at Thomas Wolf Auditorium. Nathaniel Ratliff sold out the Orange Peel on Thursday, Explosions in the Sky did as well last Saturday.
Really happy to live in an area that brings in that kind of music consistently, but man it can be annoying having to make a call on tickets for a show 3 months in advance. Not really sure why Primus is playing a venue so small, they could have packed in the arena down here.
Last time Primus played the arena I bought tickets the day of the show. That was 2011? And it was not even half full, maybe a third.

Was that Moogfest? If so, you were close. It was 2012.
Not much in the Cleveland area I can see, but I'll probably try for My Morning Jacket and Deep Purple/Alice Cooper/Edgar Winter.
Went through that whole list to find nothing but shit for New Orleans...and most of them are in the dead of summer at the Champion Square (outdoor arena). I might pick up a Muse ticket though, if fees don't make it not worth it.

According to that CoS article there are no additional fees!

So only $20? If so, I will definitely snag those Muse tickets. I just don't really know if I believe that.

The demand for live music in Asheville now is nuts. Primus and Clutch are both playing Highland Brewing for separate shows, but are playing together for some bigger venues later this summer. They're playing Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh, which holds roughly 6K. I think they would been fine together to play the arena which holds roughly 7.5K.

I am def going for Dead & Co, and Matchbox 20 & Counting Crows. Considering Incubus, KoL. I already got tickets to Muse. Surprisingly the lawn seats for Muse were only 10 more than this deal.
Does anyone know if this deal is only for the cheapest level of tickets? I'd like to get Muse tickets but if it's only for lawn I probably won't.
Just like with the free tickets last year, it probably only applies to the cheapest level.
The reason I asked is because last year the free ticket vouchers worked for any general admission ticket, not just the cheap ones. I was able to use a voucher for pit tickets to Prophets of Rage.

Oh damn I didn't know that! For Ohio at least every show I looked at only allowed you to pick from the cheapest tier. I guess I'll just plan on having multiple tabs up for the shows I'm interested in just in case the better sections are available for this.
