Fn right. That was me at of all things going to Herobust a few weeks ago. I hadn't been to anything since Deftones in May before that. Then Kraftwerk 3D popped up, and I was also supper happy. Music = necessary for the mental and emotional health. Now with Bear Creek Bayou and all that shit I can't wait to see, Chance the Rapper, Voodoo and Day for Night, I've got a good agenda for the fall. We're going to try to get to GRiZ next month too if I can afford it and maybe Animal Collective in November since I need to still see them.
I haven't been to a show since Bonnaroo, and guess what? I am gong to BECK tonight! I can NOT wait. Oh concerts and live music, I have missed you so.
This is how I felt this past Sunday in St Lou while witnessing Anderson Paak get funky during that Kaytranada song - "get me a piece of this bread pudding, wake up, cake up"

Seeing him next Sat. Let me know if he does much from his new album.
He was SOOO good. He went through his catalog and played all the hits from each album. Then he played like 4 or 5 songs from Morning Phase. After those songs he played both Dreams and Wow, and then played a few more from his earlier catalog. He didn't play one song that I didn't know. In the middle of Where It's At, everyone stops playing, he leaves the stage. When he comes back a few minutes later, he introduces the band and they each play a little something something (Beatles, Bowie's China Girl, Prince's 1999) and then he finishes Where It's At.
My favorite part was he told a story about how he has been here for like a week, he was wandering down the street and a gentleman said he looked lost. The gentleman takes him in his house, gives him a drink and asks his name to which he replies, "Beck." The gentleman says, "Like Jeff Beck?" Beck's response..."Yes, but not as good of a guitar player." Hilarious! Anyway, if you haven't seen Beck and you are contemplating going, DO IT!
